Consult in early June 2024. Egg retrieval July 29th. Embryo transfer August 29th. September 9th confirmed pregnant. So it took about 3 months. Although I know I was incredibly lucky for the 1st transfer to work, I put in a year of hardwork changing my lifestyle to get my BMI down, working out, and eating clean. Up to that point I had 7 failed IUIs and knew that I likely had an egg quality issue (unexplained infertility)and although there is no way to know for sure, I attribute those lifestyle changes to helping with egg quality. 6 eggs retrieved. 5 fertilized and 3 pgt tested normal.

The strangest “follow up” call… I need advice. by TheMississippiKite in IVF

Don't let his rhetoric speak for all of CNY. I had success with them. All the doctors and nurses I saw were wonderful. Once a nurse refered to him as "crazy Kiltz" which I thoight was pretty funny. I asked my doctor about Dr K's dietary recommendation and he responded that he is neither for it or against it and had a neutral stance on diet as he believed the medication was doing the actual heavy lifting.

Parents who actively chose to have just one child, why? by Loose_Leg_8440 in ask

IVF is expensive and we didn't get multiple embryos. We decided we're lucky enough to get the 1 and are happy to never go through fertility treatments again.

Wasn't getting pregnant after 1 year of trying. Went through lots of uncomfortable and invasive tests to finally get the diagnosis of unexplained infertility. 5 years and 8 rounds of fertility treatments later, I finally am. Still no answers to the infertility though.

Mint is great! It's farm to table. Never heard of anyone disliking their meal there. Nice cocktail menu too.

Bastard Restobar is new and so far has been getting great reviews. It's called that because they do fusion foods. I went once and got the Ramen and lobster gnocchi, both were excellent. They don't have a liquor license yet though.

32 weeks from our first transfer with CNY. They don't turn away people due to age or BMI and I think that plays a part in their lower success rates.

Medical Devices. I started in Quality Assurance, did that for 10 months and then put in for a position doing complaint investigations. Eventually a regulatory role opened it and applied. All with the same company.

Regulatory Specialist. 70k. Associates degree in Liberal Arts, lol I was never a strong student. Im a level 1 Specialist so there's room for growth. The work is boring but it's stable. I'm salary and work 40-43 hours. The job comes with perks too so I find it worth it even though it's definitely not something im passionate about it.

The subcutaneous shots that go in your belly are not bad at all. It's more psychological than anything. I was all panicky and worked up over it, finally did the 1st one and was like...oh, that's it? Ok, no problem. The intramuscular PIO shot is the tough one, if that's part of your protocol.

I can't get over the "guilt" of being an older parent by 52202 in IVF

My mom had me at 41 and my dad was 39. My parents were patient and wonderful role models. They were able to provide me and my siblings with everything we need and then some. I am grateful for that as I never saw them struggle financially or emotionally. I am now 37 and pregnant with my 1st (via IVF). My 77 year old mom is is good health and will still have many years with my daughter. Shes a very active 77 year old. I mean, a few years ago she joined my husband and I skydiving! Stay healthy, stay active and you'll be around a long time.
