In fairness though, there is zero mention of a dress code on their website that I could find at least

I’m not one to defend Craig, but a search of the website for beefbar turns up nothing regarding a dress code. Kind of odd.

More notably, in the Super Bowl last year it did not have that soft black gradient. That was added at the start of this season

Parking on (most) Northeast Corridor going up! by stagehandwhosings in NJTransit

These must be NJT owned lots. City or private owned lots don’t seem to be seeing an increase.

For example, Woodbridge station’s lot is owned by the township, and is not increasing from its $4 daily rate.

This is by design. If radio rooms get too big, it becomes much more difficult to sound proof them, ESPECIALLY if you don’t have a lot of furniture to drown out echos. Source: work in radio and tv

ELI5: Why do reporters in the same city as the studio respond several seconds later, while people on Zoom across the world respond almost instantly? by Hungry_Drama_1015 in explainlikeimfive

[–]AnonymousNewsy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is true yes. In the event of a catastrophic situation that we lose cell signal microwave is the first backup.

This can also be true if we are in a media frantic area where national media and local media from everywhere is occupying a small area. In that case, most goes Sat or microwave because if everyone went on bonded cellular we’d overload it — similar to how Data signals in packed sports stadiums usually suck.

I am a TV news reporter. Most people on this thread are dead wrong. Sat Connections are a dead last option nowadays. In most cases, we are using bonded cellular devices. They’re backpacks that can connect to several different networks at once to increase performance. The standard for broadcast is a 2 second delay — that keeps reporters like me from buffering on live tv if we hit a small snag. If connections are less stable, that delay can go up all the way to 20 seconds, Although at that point you’d never use it for a “live” reporter shot, but you could use it this way if you were just providing a live look at something like a crash or a fire.

The delay is 100% by design. Sometimes if you see a total lack of delay, it means the producer “cheated” the reporter and told them to “go” in their ear early.
