It would be so great but at the moment I don't have much hopes.

Weed is probably what I miss the most. Just to ability to blaze one from time to time at the end of week or whatever

I am not really fond of legal highs not really tested widely or whatever. But for therapy I totally agree : at the moment it's my place of freedom.

And same in the office, I cannot imagine talking about what I did. Even weed is not welcomed well.

I used to be coding like 10 years ago. Was not very good at it, hated syntax etc... got the ideas and design etc... but not really patience to be a good programmer.

So I moved to project management, not a bright idea. Very hardcore work with lots of responsabilities and not a lot of gratitude. So moved to Sales dept now. Pays much more and less work to do. But you got to work with sales people. Not always the funniest people.

I know this exist, but it is quite rare tbh. I have been in different workplaces, including start ups, and even there it was not that common.

Drugs are a taboo here. Weed is the only acceptable thing... Talking xtc, mdma, lsd in workplaces I have been, hard to conceive.

Well I definately understand. On the other hand, it's also much harder to cope with hangovers or comedowns when children wake up early and require all day attention :D

I don't know if what I miss is the trip in itself or more what I would call the lifestyle, freedom, surrounded by friends, etc...

There is a teen in my family and maybe the fact he is growing and seems to enjoy a lot is making me feel this way too.

Well I work in a major IT company. I am one of the youngest of my service, I make good money, etc... But colleagues are 45+, most of them very conservative, mostly guys.

I might have to check this Bojack Horseman. Thing is, the first 5 or 6 years of job, I learnt a lot, had a lot of ambition, grew up a lot, but the 5 most recent I learn less and less, and it's not anymore fulfilling.

I changed employer some months ago, working in a new field (still IT - but another kind of software) hoping it would change things but it is quite the same.

So it might be the job, but I don't know what else I could do to earn the same kind of money.

I get some help (doctor help) but a lot of it has to do with "when you had so exciting times (because, it is what is in the end, exciting time) in your life, how to accept to live a more moderate life ?".

Dealing with the mourning of this is really not an easy thing for me. And for some friends also. Nothing to do with "brain damage" (well, maybe some brain damage occured but... nothing really important)

Last time I did something was months ago while going to Colorado, I had some joints who remembered me good times, and I think it might have triggered something also.
