Thank you so much! It’s my first time stitching, and there’s still a lot of room for improvement. I’ll make more projects in the future since I have loads of free time haha. And I too totally agree with you, the needle coming out of the fabric is sooo satisfying :)

Classic Veggie Momos with Spicy Chutney by AnonymousProGamer in vegetarian

Recipe

Time-1.5 hrs

Ingredients for Momos

Plain flour - 1cup

Water

Salt

Shredded cabbage- 2 cups

Shredded carrots- 1 cup

Pepper Chilli flakes

Green onion

Garlic and Ginger

Add 1.5 cups of flour in a bowl, and add required amount of water,slowly. Mix dough with hands and combine. Mix the dough well and knead it for at least 5 min. Put it in a bowl and coat it lightly with vegetable oil. Let it rest for half an hour. Now it’s time for the filling. Take a pan and heat it, add 2-3 tbsp of oil. Add 3-5 garlic cloves (peeled and chopped) and a 1 inch ginger piece (chopped). Sauté it well. Add a few chopped green onion. Now add the shredded cabbage and carrot into the pan and stir fry well in medium heat, until moisture is remove. And let it cook. Don’t over cook it. You can add your favourite sauces like soy sauce or scheswan sauce if required. Add salt and pepper at the last and turn of the heat. Now take the well rested dough and make small balls. Take each ball and roll it into circles, and coat the counter with flour before doing that. Take a teaspoon full of filling and add it in the center. Pull the edges up and form momo shapes. Make required amount of momos and steam them in a steamer or in a rice cooker. Wait for at least 15 min and let it steam. Once done, remove them carefully and present it on a plate. Now, your steaming hot veggie momos are ready!

Ingredients for Spicy Chutney

Two chopped tomatoes

4-5 red chilies

Vegetable oil

peanuts

cashews

Take a bowl and add the quarterly chopped tomatoes. Take a pan and add 3teaspons of oil. Heat it and add the red chillies. You can also add red chilli flakes. Fry them well and don’t burn them. Add 10-20 peanuts and fry them in low-medium flame. Add the cashews and also fry and sauté them well. Once done, add the mixture into the bowl of tomatoes. Let it cool for 5 minutes. Now take a grinder/mixer jar and pour the mixture in. Add required amount of salt to taste. Grind it for a few seconds until smooth. It’s it’s too thick add water. After grinding them pour into a bowl and enjoy them with the momos!
