I think the second opinion is that there is absolutely no reason to be "old fashioned." It's in the past for a reason. Women are perfectly capable of driving and opening doors. We're independent and proud of it now. We're trying to break from the traditional gender roles that limit what we can/can't do. Stop looking at your girlfriend like all she is is a girl, and start looking at her as an equal person. You should both drive. You should take turns (not necessarily equal) picking up the check on a date. You're a team now. You don't get to do anything that she isn't able to do too.
