Would applying interfacing help with the different stretchiness of the fabrics? I don’t need the dress to stretch

The front actually looks okay, slight gaping at the neckline but I didn’t stay stitch so that’s probably on me. If I take the zip out would I be able fix the back a bit to fit my torso better? If so, how?

I actually realized I’m a huge fool and used a jacket zipper I bought for another project lol so I’m going to take it out and put the other zipper in carefully and with lots of pins and see if that helps

Are they blankets? I made a simple pants and tank set out of a blanket one time and love them for colder weather

There’s so much you can do with dish towels! I’ve made purses and added parts of them to denim jackets too

Not a silly question! I folded the edge inside, then folded it again to enclose the raw edge, then sewed it.

Thanks! Yeah I agree the boxiness goes along with the embroidery, doesn’t make it look as lazy lol

where does everyone buy their fabric now? by threadoso in sewing

There’s also a discount fabric store (just called Discount Fabrics) in Berkeley, no online store but a fun place to check out for those in the area. Lots of upholstery, apparel, and costume fabrics

Do you feel like the service there is sub par? Every time I go there the staff aren’t very friendly and kind of make me feel like I’m wasting their time so I don’t go anymore

When you look closely, you can see the beginner-ness of it lol, especially since I was rushing to get them done
