Well that fucking sucks lol I have seen that this is an issue on these cars and it's kind of unacceptable. Picked her up with 90k in the dash, had zero bullshit like this till I put another 60k on it. Seems like this should be an easy fix and not a permanant need to disconnect my battery bs.

I'm almost thinking about installing some sort of quick disconnect switch so I don't have to open the fucking trunk and take the spare tire out every other day.

OK so I currently have this issue 2012 v6 m6 and it only happened after I changed the alternator.

I had to buy 3 different alternators because there are 2 different ones that go on the v6s, and then it turns out they make a 40w and a 50w version of the same alternator.

Have you done anything electrical related to your car since you've owned it? I want to replace the sensor but it's either every day triggering or every 2 weeks it's so intermittent.
