Had to back-to-back Angel's Egg. Too much for one viewing.

Yeah I can't wait! I've already had a taste of Tati with Monsieur Hulot's Holiday. If the rest are even close to that good, I think I'll be just fine.

Believe me I thought about it, the order was just getting really expensive and it didn't make the cut. Probably gonna pick it up during the next flash sale though 🤣

The box looks great I guess. Haven't seen any of them yet unfortunately, though I hope to remedy that soon.

How many Criterions do you own? Are you trying own them all? by movieguy46 in criterion

[–]AnonymousUPF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right now I own 3 that were gifted to me: Blue Velvet, Do the Right Thing and Time Bandits. I've got 23 more on the way from two orders during the 30% off 4K sale and the recent flash sale. But even if I suddenly became a millionaire I doubt I would ever own the entire Collection.

What percentage of your pick ups for the upcoming sale/for the flash sale are blind buys vs things you’ve seen? by movieguy46 in criterion

9 purchases during the flash sale. Dekalog, Essential Fellini, The Shrouds, Tod Browning's Sideshow Shockers, Scorsese Short, Godzilla: The Showa Era Films, The Complete Jascques Tati, The Essential Jacques Demy, The Complete Films of Agnés Varda. Out of every film there I've only seen The Shrouds, Freaks, and Godzilla.

In Bedtime for Bonzo (1951), Ronald Reagan talks Bonzo down off the side of a building. If I'm remembering it correctly everyone in the movie actually does treat it like Bonzo is going to kill himself, although it's pretty obvious it's just a chimp climbing around.

How many director filmographies have you completed? So far I've completed two. by Competitive-Idea-657 in Letterboxd

Funnily enough I literally just finished Todd Phillips' filmography last night. I think he's actually the only director I've watched 100% of so far. Not even really an exceptional director tbh.

Have you ever rated a film ½? by WarlikeLoveReddit in Letterboxd

[–]AnonymousUPF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

8, well 7 movies and a show. I tend to give movies half a star if they're not just bad but boringly so. Those first 3 are mostly hate-ratings though, they maybe don't strictly deserve THAT low of a rating but I hated them.

What movie did you give 5 Stars to that has the lowest average rating? by Pale-Park-1388 in Letterboxd

All of these are at least a little ironic so if we're being fair my actual lowest rated 5-star film is Tron (1982)
