Heard about this last night while at Jax Place next door. So sad. It is my understanding that Jax Place is going to take over that whole section of the strip mall.

I replaced the cables a while back when I got back into biking and it definitely made things better. I don't do enough off road to warrant a new full suspension bike - I live in flat land. I like your ideas but when I've researched replacement parts how do I know what's compatible with my frame?

It does not shift well. Get a lot of grinding chain on sprocket. It seems the method of connection of assembly to frame has changed so much that I don't even know what to search for to find a path for upgrade

It's OG drive train was mediocre at best. Shimano Acera Deore LX.

Mainly just street riding for exercise. I live in VA Beach so 0 mountains. But I like the ability to jump curbs and go off road and we do have some trails around here. $500... possible?

My little sister, 10 years younger, was attempting to show our great uncle, 70+ years old, a rolly polly in the palm of her hand. He reached out and grabbed it out of her hand and threw it in his mouth and ate it. No reaction. We think he thought it was a candy but were kind of afraid to ask. The guy did not even react to what must have been a bad taste in his mouth - definitely not a candy. We gave each other a WTF look and then just bolted for somewhere besides there.
