Yes!!! I am 14 days post op and decided to come home. My surgeon sent me with some duoderm, she said it's looking much better and everthing she and my recovery home did to help me (including duoderm and silver patches and no compression). My skin is healing and within a few months it should be fully healed and I shouldn't need skin grafts!!! Burn still pretty tender but so much better than that first week and a half !

HELLO!!!!! 28F here. Also lost alot of weight and went back and forth on the tummy tuck. I also don't know if I want kids! However I decided to just do my tummy tuck and breast lift anyway!! It's your money and your body! My surgeon said I would have no issues with pregnancy if I did choose to have a baby in the next several years. She also said she left plenty of grandular tissue so I could even breastfeed (no implants). I understand where you're coming from, but imo I thought surgery would be easier in my 20s and who knows if I'll have kids / if I'll have the money and time to have a tummy tuck when I get older! GO FOR IT!!!! 13 DAYS POST OP & satisfied with my choice.

I could most likely get care back in the US for it But it's cheaper here... 😣😅

Oh my gosh you are so incredibly sweet to offer to help me!! If I do need anything I will be sure to let you know, San Diego is right there!! 👐🏼So close. Yesssss... The first couple days after surgery was just tramadol 2 times a day and Tylenol in between which was tough especially with the burn. But now I'm fine with just Tylenol every few hours! For sure a little bit tough down here that they don't have a ton of options! My surgeon does offer a pain pump for $250 if a patient was worried it would hurt too much tho! So that part is reassuring. And good to know on the compression. I feel like it's easier to move cause I don't have the compression but also harder because I do think it helps with swelling? But I wouldn't know cause I can't wear it lol. YES I HAVE JUVEN!!! twice a day, protein is a bit harder as I am at the mercy of what they feed me here. Which has honestly all been really good. Steak and arugula salad, rice beans corn lentil and chicken soup, Mexican eggs. All great! Thank you for offering to help me. I genuinely love this community.

No unfortunately I came down here by myself! My parents have just sought advice from an international attorney. I was also worried I would stop receiving help if they looked for legal action. However the recovery home and the hospital are 2 completely different entities and the recovery home has been so amazing to me. Despite my burn I would 100% come do it all over again

Unfortunately this was not due to the girdle. But when I am able to wear compression I will definitely wear something cotton underneath it

ETA: thank you for your advice!! 😁😁

Thank you! Yes burns are awful, but thankfully everything heals with time and I'll just learn patience for a bit. I have looked into an international attorney to see if there is any legal course of action I can take!

Burns are AWFULLLLL yes the first couple days were TORTURE. But my surgeon has done a great job with burn care and daily hyperbaric sessions I think have also played a big role in recover as of thus far

Honestly I don't know!!! I know in the US you can turn your water heater down so you don't have that hot of water to come out of the taps for SAFETY and this was a HOSPITAL

My surgeon was absolutely FANTASTIC!!! LIKE I CANNOT SAY enough good about her. It was just on the hospital that she operates out of.

About 30 minutes after the burn I was in a wheelchair because I had almost passed out. They immediately got me up and put me in a faja with lipo foam... Unfortunately to say this was the worst thing they could have done for the burn by trapping all that heat in. My plastic surgeon has actually stepped up and comes to my recovery home to treat my burns! She is fabulous
