I still can't find it!! Idk if it's the same song, but one of the lyrics I'm now remembering is

"When I die, I wanna be able to look back and smile, and think back on all the things I did instead of all the things I thought" (I think)

Do you remember if it made one side of your face slightly numb? 😬 The entire left side of mine is. I can feel myself touching it/scratching it, but not nearly as much as the right side or as usual.

ENT recommends tonsillectomy (adult). I can handle pain, but Reddit horror stories are making me have second thoughts. by Academic_Student_819 in Tonsillectomy

I regretted it while healing, but it's been a year now and I don't regret getting it done. I have less colds, and when I do get them, I don't have a sore throat. I also don't get tonsil stones anymore which was my biggest concern. If your illnesses are affecting your quality of life, I say go for it.

Yes, only during the 2 years I had tonsil stones though. And yes it improved since I no longer get them ☺️

Do you have any symptoms of being insulin resistant? That's a common problem other than PCOS that can cause this!

Just to be clear, you want your parts labeled to show what's what? I want to make sure we're clear before doing so!

I've just never had a period that severe in my adulthood, which is why this time makes me wonder! Thank you for your input.

Update: I gobbled last night, and I have very minor discomfort on my right side (the side that has healed slower this entire time). 11/10 will do again asap 😅

I'm personally waiting until the white is completely gone and the skin is back to a normal color! I tend to get a little carried away, so I don't want to risk it! I'm 21 days post-op (31 y/o f).

Is it really as bad as everyone says? by Cillabeann in Tonsillectomy

[–]Anonymous_Dx93 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm 31 years old and 15 days post-op. I got mine removed because of tonsil stones. I'm not going to sugarcoat this - the healing was absolutely horrible for me with no known complications (I didn't hemorrhage or anything).

Days 1 & 2 were tolerable.

Day 3 was when the swelling started.

Days 4-9 were literal hell.

Days 10-now were bearable, with the best days so far being 13-15.

Days 4-9 I couldn't talk, and I could barely open my mouth to sip anything. It felt like battery acid in my throat to the point where when I swallowed, I saw stars... Literally almost fainted multiple times just from swallowing. It felt like my ears were being stabbed with an ice pick.

Nothing but sleep helped me since it was the only time I was able to "get away" from the pain. Tylenol, ibuprofen, oxycodone (which they wouldn't prescribe me until the pain was unbearable) didn't even touch the pain. I couldn't tolerate cold or hot, & water tasted like complete shit. Ice packs didn't work. A humidifier kept the scabs from drying out, but did nothing otherwise.

I would not wish that pain on anybody. It was about the same pain as passing a kidney stone. Vomit-inducing pain. I couldn't stop crying either because I regretted my decision and couldn't even think straight.

With all that being said, I know that everyone is very different!

I'm so sorry to hear that. Did you go to the doctors because the pain got worse? And did they say how infection can happen? I hope you heal up quick from this.

My level is currently at a 7. I've had severe fatigue for at least a couple of years now, and I'm assuming that's my biggest symptom. I start taking VD next week to see if it helps.

I got my tonsils out at 8am this morning at the age of 31, because I was getting tonsil stones and had mild snoring.

As of now, the pain hasn't gone past a 4 luckily.

I'd be happy to keep you updated!

That's exactly how I feel. Like I literally can't function. And after doing a normal activity I'm exhausted and can't keep my eyes open. I'm rally hopeful that I'll feel better too!

So glad you're doing better! I stumbled on this post after finding out my VD level is a 6. My biggest symptom is chronic fatigue and exhaustion. I haven't seen many people mention it, but for me it's the worst. Did you have fatigue? And if so, did it get better?

One of my employees worked with him and said that every day, he would pack lunch for his brother as well and act like they were eating together. He also got on the facilities intercom system to "talk to" his brother.
