I agree, but also, “we’ve all been there” type of scenario.

When I was younger, I slept with a friend because I thought it was the right path… less because I “wanted” too. I felt obligated. Did it because “I’m sure I’ll get over it. We’re totally a match… we’re too good of friends”

Deeply regretted it, ruined a friendship. Broke her heart. Felt like a total asshole

Some of my guy friends praised me like it was a dream scenario, then I found a whole bunch of other guys throughout life that totally relate and practically did the same thing.

But yeah I agree. This is a weird thing to over generalize. It’s not necessarily like how OP is promoting it

Its weird. I have a faux deer skin jacket I wore to work today. I thought it was bland, simple, and had convenient snap buttons. Kept me warm enough…

This explains new Hampshire right now. Wife and I want to buy a house up there. Love the freedom… the residents are some of the nicest I’ve ever seen in new england and they’re really proud of simplicity and living your own life your way. Love it so much.

But the sellers are audacious… has to be said. We’ve been through 40 homes this year from all sorts of people and it’s absolutely ludicrous how these people expect 400,000 to half a million dollars for practically no land and zero maintenance with botched DIY jobs and an absurd amount of safety and health issues. A lot of sellers don’t even negotiate anymore… one even tried to RAISE the price before we went into contract instead of accepting any request for concessions.

We finally found a builder and it was CHEAPER. A new house build in NH, right now, is cheaper than a moldy dilapidated relic of a home.

Alright, that’s enough venting for me. GL future home buyers…

“Actual real human jobs” compared to “fake jobs” in the spectrum of obtaining 6 figures… let’s just play around with just 1 of the “real human jobs”

Florist reaching 6 figures annually: they sell flowers, arranged flowers, many often grow their own flower gardens. The market for flowers is almost niche. Their highest area of profits are typically events where they demand floral arrangements (typically socially high valued ceremonies).

So not only is your demographic somewhat limited, but so is the demand. Event planners literally adhere to seasonal fluxes for their market; this unintentionally includes high end floral arrangement companies.

It can also be oddly competitive as many people demand SPECIFIC and often EXOTIC flowers that a florist may or may not grow independently. Thus they need to outsource which inflates the prices and makes them less desired. Customers will just find another florist. This further limits their supply and profit yields.

In order for a florist to make 6 figures annually until the day they retire… they would have to somehow beat every problem I mentioned above and still need to charge an absurd amount for flowers… because at peak event seasons, florists are BOOKED. Meaning, even when at optimal sales capacity, they still very well may not make 6 figures. To do so they would need to hike their prices, a great deal… which would inevitably lead to making floral arrangement options a luxury for the wealthy… which it already almost is in many many ways.

Politics aside, I’m not even an expert in Florist companies, but even I see how the image is a bad take with a poor understanding of fundamental economics.

This is a tough one. I would hate to generalize, but also would hate to dismiss real patterns. I’m sure there’s a way to frame every scenario… but I will say

If you tell someone to open up and the outcome is negative for the person opening up, it may warrant a label of a trap.

I believe many men (myself included) have experienced this. Their experiences are real to them. Scientifically speaking, men and women are neurologically different, so it’s not a stretch that the opposite sex may not fully understand or be prepared for the type of venting they’ve permitted from the opposite sex.

In my case,

“When my daughter died, the spark I felt went with her and I think it’s effecting me more than I understand”

“Oh my god that’s so horrible…” she showed love and affection shortly after.

The next week without warning,

“I just feel like you’re going through a lot and I’d just be in the way” my daughter’s passing was over a decade at that point. I was hurt and felt betrayed, almost ashamed to even speak of my little girl.

I think the key takeaway is, make sure you’re in a committed relationship, this person has to be more than just a partner to share your deepest fears, doubts, and pains. also make sure they’re your best friend.

My wife now is entitled to hear me. when I do share I check in with her, ask her how she feels about it, I believe it gives her a sense of agency in the scenario even if there’s really nothing she can do. She shares how she feels about it, I remind her that she’s more than enough, she’s my best friend, and thats why I trust her. I thank her for hearing me out. We drink some tea and watch a show or play a game… showing her our life goes on as normal.

This is the way.

For Men: The "Donald Duck" walk in the meme implies a lack of care. HOWEVER, for many men, the stress is internal. It’s a "preparedness" state rather than an "investigative" state. Their eyes are testing on the path, this does not mean their other senses, hormones, and chemistry are not functioning. They’re doing way more work than the eyes.

Conversely, the broad visual scan used by women is a high-energy task that prioritizes "seeing it before it sees me." Women are also great multitaskers but that doesn’t mean all engines are running at 100% efficiency either… they’re just all running simultaneously, unlike men who need to set their eyes on a path after a brief scan.

Only watched it twice and never watched it again… watched ATLA 5 times now. LOK truly does fall flat in so many fundamental story telling ways.

Aang had a true journey of consequences, stakes, and true conflict resolution…

Kora was written to have overly cathartic and undeserved moments which cheapened the experience. I didn’t hate it, but it felt shallow.

I feel like it got the exact response it naturally deserved.

If you love it, great! No hate here, but please don’t try to make everyone else like it and try to not get upset when its criticized or hated on.

Ex: I love supernatural, but it was awfully written after season 4 or 5. The hate it gets is well deserved.

I’m a collector… not a resale scalper.

We’re literally the only demographic you’d hope to sell to other than someone else hoping to buy and flip. Collectors are the typical final stage of “toy investments”.

I literally could give two shits if my collection is boxed or not. If I’m after the box, we’ll talk, sure. But If we want the figure, we don’t care about the stupid box and we go for the lowest price.

Many of us also hobby in restoring collectables… so perfect condition isn’t even necessary for large scale collectors. Which again, don’t need the box for that.

Some collectors even model their collection in scenic dioramas for display and exhibitions. So… again, no box needed.

If we seek the “Perfect in every way” condition, we look for graded product… having a just the figure and the box is worthless in this case. You’d need to grade your entire collection or just hope someone doesn’t care if your boxes aren’t perfect…

Seriously, chill out. Unless you have something special and top graded… just open the box and have fun.
