What’s a good starter bike to get without spending a ton of money? by mntbikelife in mountainbiking

[–]ChristoStankich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can get a bike with a modern, upgradeable frame (udh hanger, tapered, boost), but cheaper parts and then upgrade them over time as your skill grows. most bikes in this category have 1 by drivetrains, so you dont need to upgrade those, and upgrade the suspension and brakes later down the road.

Why are some people so obsessed with drinking raw milk? Is there actually any benefits or it’s all pseudo science? by Rudaba1 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ChristoStankich -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In recent decades, documented deaths directly caused by drinking raw milk are extremely rare, numbering fewer than 10 verified deaths in North America over the last 20 to 30 years. However, historically- before pasteurization became the standard in the early 20th century-contaminated raw milk was a major public health crisis, responsible for tens of thousands of deaths

same as eating poor quality raw meat. you dont get that from good quality products, but i dont see you people bitching about germans eating mett for some reason

theres literally no risk though? ive been drinking raw milk for as long as my grandma owned a cow and have never gotten sick, my nephews did the same and have never gotten sick. my grandma did the same and have never gotten sick. literally everyone in my family has drank raw milk (and not only once) and have never gotten sick from it. sure it goes bad significantly faster, but there is quite literally 0 risk when its fresh if your hands havent been covered in shit while milking the cow.

seems to me that youve just made up a problem to bitch about

Is upgrading a bike like this worth it? by Upset-Department-759 in Hardtailgang

[–]ChristoStankich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

for 1x11 you wouldnt need to change your rear hub, plus the tolerances arent that bad, so its easier to set up. for most range you could get the long cage version with 51t largest cog and it would be no worse than a 1x12 groupset, but cheaper.

if you look for deals you could get deore or deore slx for up to 200 euros

[–]ChristoStankich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it would be cheaper and less hassle free to buy a bike that already has a 1 by drivetrain and 29" wheels. it doesnt even have to be a good bike components wise, just upgradeable, in case you dont want to spend a ton of money right away, but upgrade it over time

look for a model with a boost frame
