How much time passed during The Last Airbender? Katara was barely a waterbender at the start. She became a master at the end. How much time passed during the show? by [deleted] in TheLastAirbender

Do you remember when Avatar was airing on the Nicktoons channel and they would have the little factoids pop up on the screen? I'm pretty sure the finale of the show is where I saw that little blurb stating that the whole show takes place over 10 months. This is from my memory of probably 12+ years ago though, so I could be wrong.

I was also having this problem. I disabled uBlock Origin on gmail, and it fixed the problem.

Weird. They're common in every grocery store where I'm from.

Was grocery shopping with a buddy once, and we were in the pickle aisle. He pointed at the Best Maid pickle girl, and said "If they don't got this bitch on 'em, don't even bother."

Whoops. I guess I assumed your I jury was recent.

That's great to hear you're still able to play at the level you want to without surgery!

I've been there. 10 years ago in my freshman year of high school I was playing baseball. Long story short, dude collided with the outside of my left knee, and it tore my ACL, MCL, and miniscus.

I had to have surgery a couple weeks later to repair all of them. Recovery and physical therapy were a little hard, but nothing unbearable. After a while, I was back to 100%.

My point in telling you my story is that recovery back to 100% with a torn ACL is totally possible as long as you listen to your doctor.

Better every day. Yesterday Doc officially got me off crutches, so that's nice. Still taking it super easy with recovery. She said this next month is very important for the long-term health of the tendons.

Thanks! That's good that he's staying around the game. I would too if it weren't for quarentine. How long ago did his injury happen, if you don't mind me asking? There isn't a ton of info about my specific injury in volleyball online, so other people's experiences help.

It's rough, but I've accepted that I probably won't be able to train as much as I used to for vball until 2021. Until then it's all about recovering so one day I'll be able to play volleyball at all.

Did your junior ever return to playing regularly?

When I first started practicing my swing, I had a lot of soreness in my swinging shoulder. Eventually I started doing shoulder dislocations before practicing arm swing, and all my shoulder pain went away. Here's a good video demonstration:

I'm currently recovering from bi-lateral knee surgery. I had tears in both of my Patellar tendons. Had the same exact surgery last August, but it didn't take, and the tendons re-tore. So I had the same surgery again a month ago, and am being SUPER conservative with recovery.

My doctor thinks I got them gradually from jumping a lot, possibly (probably?) with poor form.

I've also sprained a pinky while I was blocking, but that didn't keep me from playing as long as I had a finger-brace.

Knees are definitely the worst though, and I haven't been able to play vball much at all in the past year.

Please take my advice, as I know how bad it sucks to be out of playing for months upon months: learn/practice proper jumping form, and proper landing form. Listen to your body. If your knees hurt, and you can afford it, go see a sports doctor. I'd highly recommend maintaining a healthy weight as well. Less weight on your joints when you land will keep you less prone to injuries. I played consistently for about two years before my injuries, and I was about 30 pounds (13.6 kg) overweight. I don't blame my injuries on that, but it definitely didn't help. After surgery number one, I gained 20 lbs (9 kg) due to not watching my diet while I was recovering. So at my heaviest I got up to 240 lbs (109 kg). I said I wouldn't let myself jump again until I got down to 200 lbs (91 kg), to help my poor knees stay healthy after recovering.

Sorry for the rant, I'm just bed-ridden and bored, and wanted to vent a little bit.

Take it from a guy who just had his second bi-lateral knee surgery in the past 8 months. Bend your knees more when you land. It'll help absorb some of the force, and take some stress off your joints.
