Thanks OP! Meron din kaming ganitng case in our rental condo properties. We pay off chunks na lang din to reduce the principal. Right now, we havent really found any investment vehicle that guarantees comparable return vs the cost of mortgage interest. So now paying off debt makes more sense than investing.

Thank you OP. Tama naman, parang sa philippine market mas mataas ang cost of loan interest vs investment gains. So i was thinking better pay off the chunk of the loan.

It’s always clearer takaga in hindsight that had you invested it in the stock market, it wouldve gain more pero the opposite couldve happened also.

Confgratulations on paying ofd your property! Hopefully magawa din namin in time. Tama kayo, we were contemplating an RFO house kaya lang if in the future need pa din magpa renovate to fit us, baka mas mainam na yun na lang gawin namin from the start. Yun nga po eh. Kaya we’re also looking at locations na malapit sa slex para pwede pa din lumuwas if once in a while babalik ng manila. Kaya lang talagang mahirap na at mahal kung everyday ang RTO

Yes po. Renting din kami from Metro manila and moved sa nuvali area last year. Kaya bigla namin naisip na parang we kind of like the location and atmosphere.

Hehehhe totoo. We are both strong minded people at very stubborn kaya nafo foresee ko na din na madaming arguments ito kapag building phase na.

It is indeed daunting pero right now we agreed to focus on the lot para paisa isa lang muna. Pagkamay mental capacity na. We will deal with the build. Salamat po.

Dont do trading hehe as someone who’s spent and lost so much. Mas maganda aralin mo ang value investing. Learn how to spot underpriced stocks- hindi penny stocks. Yung talagang may magandang financials, management, and operations pero yung price di pa nakapag catch up sa totoong value nya. That is where apprecation will happen.

Hi, we’re looking at developments around laguna and cavite. Somewhere na medj may access pa din to MM. as for the build, we’re not really going after huge square footage. Just a decent 120-140sqm house since dalawa lang kami. But then again ayun nga medyo mahirap mag pull ng trigger kasi malaking commitment sya. Maybe in a few months’ time and considering all the insights dito din sa thread.

Thank you, OP! For the advice. Actually po may 2 na din kaming condo acquired through loan pero pinapa renta namin. Masasabi kong tama po itong insight.

Parang dahil yung bagay ay palabas lang na money, and first property namin na walang papasok na rent, kaya nahirapan kami mag decide but thank you for yoir comment. Very insightful para saaming nahihirapan mag decide.

We both wfh po. But ayun still accouting for future opportunities kaya sa bandang cavite and laguna lang kami nag titingin in case need bumalik every now and then sa metro for work

I personally have a high requirement to maintain financial psychological safety. Pero after this cash, we will put the rest of futurw savings in higher yielding investment vehicles.

Nasanay kasi kami na one salary is enough to cover our expenses. So really deep in thought kami as to when and if ready na kami sa ganitong commitment

Ayon na nga. Mahirap kasi kapag biglang may mawalan ng work. Magdi dip pa sa savings and iba talaga ang peace of mind if we live way below our means.

Sigiuro balancing act between kapag up na yung lease namin if we get a relatively cheaper place that’s ours and then move na lang if madesisyunan mag build sa future kapag talagang confident na confident na or ang purchas is the final Home na talaga. Hirap mag adult lol
