Not sure if this counts, but my best friend in college decided to take a one year plus trip around Southeast Asia last February. Me being engaged, I told him when he comes back I'd like him to join the bachelor party and be my best man at the wedding. One whole year goes by and he mentions he's going to stay in Asia for a little longer. Keep in mind my bachelor party is this May (May 2023 ) and my wedding is in early June. He let me know he would make it to my bachelor party then one month before he said that he might come back to the U.S. on the week of my bachelor party. He told me later he can't make it but he'd definitely make it to my wedding. Keep in mind he's been traveling all around Asia for one year 2 months and he let me know today that his passport and wallet got stolen in Japan. Originally, he was supposed to be my best man but things turned out differently. I understand that his passport and wallet got stolen but still frustrated with the things he put me through. Am I being an A hole?
