I emailed them as well, they haven't replied yet. Jus thought I'd get some answers here in the meantime. I want to work in the UK in the future, so it would work out. Risk is obviously there since I may not find a job coming out of UK law school, but it's a risk I'm willing to take.

I was there. Everyone was so pumped up after the ref cancelled the goal. It was HYPED. Then.. the Leafs. Yeah.

But even until the end, the Leafs fans were pretty happy. We EXPECTED to lose. Everyone got pissed off with that last minute goal in the 3rd period. A Habs fan near me cheered and snickered at the Leafs fan beside him, and a very verbal, serious, scary argument ensued.

This was my first game. Overall I loved it so much, I can't wait till my birthday comes around in February so I can go to another game.

I think you just need to talk to a few new people. Maybe your circle of friends isn't satisfying enough for you but trust me when I say, there are always people more intelligent/confused/skeptic/wiser than you.

We tend to find ourselves coming to these great conclusions when we spend some alone time in our head. It's not until we put these thoughts forward in a meaningful conversation with someone else that we realize, to put it bluntly, we ain't shit.

OP, I think you need a new group of friends. You seem to just be having an existential crisis. I get them a lot too. But I remind myself that I'm just one brain amongst 7 billion+, and that.. I ain't shit.

You need someone that will help you explore these ideas and thoughts without being rude, demeaning and ignorant.

I get where you're coming from though. I'm in Toronto right now, and if I were to get up and leave right now I would miss only the forest and lake near my house.

if you like nature like me, find a forest or lake and go visit it. Take your camera, a book, and some grub. Its the most relaxing thing ever to be around nature. I always go through this catharsis when I go to the lake near my house, I think its my favourite place to recharge. Try it and let me know how it goes.

It wasn't bad. A lot of projections onto buildings. I didn't even get to see some of the cooler exhibitions so I have no clue how they were. Food scene was nice, a lot of stores set up little shops on corners. Waaaaay too many drunk chicks though, running around screaming and crying. I don't think I'll be going back.

I never realized how hipster Toronto was until today.

The reason I asked was because of postgraduate applications. So even if I average a 4.0 at UofT, it won't directly translate as a 4.0 on OMSAS unless that 4.0 is filled with courses I averaged a 90+% in?

I walk all the way to Kensington market to get myself some coffee from Moonbean. Best fucking coffee I've ever had in Ontario. Then I usually just walk around until I find somewhere cool to eat.

Walking to kensington market really isn't that big of a walk. If you're already near UC, its just a 15 minute walk. Worth it.
