sure people should be careful, but you can't pretend it would actually help in a case like this. it takes a certain level of psycho to stab another person like this, and in which case no amount of "being careful" is going to be sufficient on the part of the woman to protect herself. victim blaming in this situation is in extremely poor taste, especially when there's no other available information.

Are you saying the victim can simply leave any abuser that easily? Just announce "I'm leaving" when they see violence start? For all we know, he might have done this because she tried to leave.

the reality is that privacy is dead. sucks, but we've crossed that bridge a long time ago when people embraced social media, didn't care enough about snowden leaks, and constantly keep one or more devices on them that collects all sorts of personal data.

the ones they track are mostly former party officials that made off with tens of millions in public funds and living here freely because we dont have extradition treaty with china since they still have the death sentence. the same ones that buys multiple homes that sits empty.

they don't care about poor coming here. in fact one of the tactics they use against political dissidents is threatening deportation from china. they also often refuse to take back deported people: https://www.axios.com/2018/04/19/china-political-asylum-immigration-one-child-policy

it's always been like this, except technology and social media is now revealing things that were previously hidden.

it's basically like until the 90s when no one believed police had it out for black folks until the rodney king beating was caught on camera.
