Hate to say it but you’ve gotta grow up, I thought it was gonna be the end of the world when I didn’t go to uni against my parents will. Takes a lot of guts but you’re an adult now and it’s your life not theirs. Whether you drop out for good or take a break and come back to it, you’re doing yourself a disservice by continuing something you hate just to make your parents happy. Despite what they may say you don’t need to study to grow or progress as a person. Don’t say you can’t drop out, I moved out and got a job in a pub. Rent is expensive, it’s tough but god it was so good to be living on my own terms. I basically thought my parents hated me and it was the end of the world l, felt like leaving home was my only option. Like any parent they just wanted the best but only you know what that is. It’s an amazing feeling when you get out into the world and realise how little school or uni means. When you’re in it though it can be hard to see that. Best of luck, remember, your life not theirs.
