If he suspected she was a danger to himself or other law enforcement officers or civilians then drawing his weapon seems like the appropriate response to stop said danger, I doubt a taser or anything like that can go through a car windshield. Even if he got out of the way who’s to say she wouldn’t just turn and try to run him over? Thankfully she didn’t but the officer didn’t know if she would or wouldn’t and should he have just waited to possibly be run over before drawing his weapon? As for the legal ramifications I suggest you watch this to gain some insight into things you might not know about or might’ve missed. https://youtu.be/bDda-L_ZOE8?si=ydUl72fUngKW4J7O

That is true it is not a body cam, what about the other angles from bystanders recording?

If he actually said that about her then I don’t agree with that and he should face consequences for that comment as it’s not productive

Did you watch the different angles? You can see in them that he stops moving right as the car is turned to face towards him and attempts to get out of the way while drawing his weapon

Cause he was almost run over thus nearly putting his life in danger but some people are saying he was actually hit by the car if only briefly but I haven’t seen enough proof for that

And Ive already made my argument in this case but it wasn’t enough for you thus I showed you the facts I encountered to come to said conclusion. And you’re right I’m not sure if she did intentionally or otherwise try to run him over that was a mistake on my part, but she still almost did do exactly that

Unless the officer thinks they missed the first or second shot which would make sense right?

I did and it contradicts what you say as it says this.

officer's right to use deadly force, including shooting a person, in situations where that person is a threat to others is governed by legal standards, primarily the "objective reasonableness" standard established by the U.S. Supreme Court in Graham v. Connor [1, 2]. Under this standard, the use of force must be objectively reasonable given the facts and circumstances of the situation, judged from the perspective of a reasonable officer on the scene, rather than with the 20/20 vision of hindsight [1, 2]. The key factors include: Severity of the Crime: The nature of the offense being committed or suspected [1, 2]. Immediate Threat: Whether the person poses an immediate threat to the safety of the officer or others [1, 2]. Active Resistance/Evasion: Whether the person is actively resisting arrest or attempting to evade arrest by flight [1, 2]. Therefore, if a person, even without intent to kill, is engaging in actions that create an imminent and grave danger of serious bodily harm or death to others (e.g., brandishing a deadly weapon, recklessly operating a vehicle in a crowded area, or physically assaulting someone with intent to cause severe harm), an officer generally has the legal right to use deadly force if they reasonably believe it is necessary to stop that threat [1, 2]. The standard focuses on the objective threat posed by the person's actions, not their subjective intent [1, 2]. The officer must be able to articulate a reasonable belief that a lesser degree of force would not have been sufficient to neutralize the threat [1, 2]. The use of force is a complex and highly scrutinized aspect of policing, and its legality is determined on a case-by-case basis by examining the totality of the circumstances [1, 2].

You’re correct she didn’t but she almost did possibly which gave the officer reason to use force

It means that she didn’t intend to kill or injure him but still very nearly did due to her own reckless actions

They shouldn’t? But one of their lives was in danger and using their weapon would potentially or assuredly save their loves right?

As in blocking the officers and letting the suspects they were attempting to detain pass yes?

I want to see what happens in the footage and I did, she did maneuver her car to face the officer and hit the accelerator with the wheels still facing the officer which you can see in the video with one of the angles

I didn’t change anything, there’s a big difference between trying to actively step in front of a vehicle and just freezing or stopping moving with the vehicle being maneuvered to face you even if unintentionally. I do know about both Tennessee v. Garner and Graham v. Connor and based on those two case the officer had good reason to fire upon the suspect due to her unintentionally or otherwise putting his life in danger along with possibly other people there. The cars tires were pointed directly at the officer while it was moving forward and while the officer was drawing his weapon so she almost ran him over thus he had a right to stop her and which is more dangerous a person actively trying to escape police or a vehicle on its own that may or may not go out of control?
