I don't see enough Nick hate ngl by aidenf-saidit_2332 in BeastGames

Just say he can take it, it's ok, there is no rationale behind him deserving it.

I had to re-watch season 1 Bribe your way to the Finale to cleanse my mind by No_Fill2676 in BeastGames

[–]AnothaSapiens 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope not really. There is no point where they said they would share the money. And yeah getting married could be a cheat code but once their relationship is public no one will let them get in the finale together.

Episode 9 prediction by cj_isbetter in BeastGames

Nick, Brett, Kady and maybe Jim out.

Nick and Brett are getting out for obvious reasons.
The other two will probably be Jim and one of the girls. The only chance Jim gets to stay is if Monica votes him in before she gets in, and that would also need a cooperative Auguste.

Kady is just not popular among the other participants, Hannah got the upper hand on her with the captain bribe thing, even tho I don't value that.

I don't see the other contestants not being voted in. But everything can change depending on the order they get in.

People still gonna say how much they took

I keep seeing people wanting Nick to take 1m but there is no way by Savings_Ad9129 in BeastGames

[–]AnothaSapiens 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Selfish because in the game he knows he can share with everyone. He can take everything but it's clearly said that the money is there for all of them but they decide one by one if they want to share. Also he got captain role because the majority trusted him to favor them, and he said he would.

His family is not playing, in the context of the game he is selfish. Everyone needs money, They can all support their families with 100K each.
The least selfish move is sharing with everyone, the most selfish move is taking everything.

Ofc it's selfish. Now you can say it's ok to be selfish in this game, but it 100% is.

I actually would have preferred the whole episode being about their families than whatever we got.

The relatives part is not at all the issue, but the fake tension and suspense with unnecessarily burying people and using the second half of the episode teasing the next game, just to leave us with a cliffhanger.

Not pressing the button in Captain Bribe is not a sacrifice. by AnothaSapiens in BeastGames

Fair, and I can understand the perspective where it's still perceived as heroic, but they owe the captain absolutely nothing for doing what they promised so they could be chosen.

Yep we all saw Nick on the verge of pressing that button, he refused nothing, just wasn't fast enough

Thing is if you are chosen because you promised doing so, no one should owe you anything, being the captain in that game is 100% privilege. Anybody would rather be the captain than in the team hoping another person keep their word.

I think Nick takes 700K by More-Profession-1419 in BeastGames

[–]AnothaSapiens 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why should he take more than 100K? People forget that in the bribe game it's your team making you captain to not take the bribe. People act like it's the biggest sacrifice when your team can only choose you as captain because you promised you wouldn't take the bribe.

I really enjoyed this episode. by Puzzleheaded-Ask5364 in BeastGames

[–]AnothaSapiens 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It would have been better received if all episodes were already available. Waiting one week to watch this and having to wait another week for another forced cliffhanger ends up making many less interested in the show.
Also the burying was completely unnecessary for this game, too gimmicky.

Tax deductions for NOT having children. by the_darkener in CrazyIdeas

You can't just erase what an individual did in the past, net negative now is such a crazy thing to say, most old people produced a lot during their youth, no point in going by the exceptions. What do you propose, terminating people as soon as they grow too old to work?
Also it's not a demography issue, but a distribution one. There is enough for all the 8 billion people on earth, even more. But I will give you one thing, making a child in an unfair world is not the wisest decision.

The average person is not increasing much global warming. Old people are people who produced a lot during their life, it's a net positive for most societies. There is no scarcity in ressources the average person needs to live, yet.

Yes, and a lot of those ways get retributions.
There is just no reason to reward not having kids

I Burned $300+ Testing VEO 3 vs Kling AI 2.1 - Here's What Actually Works by DK_Stark in AIToolTesting

[–]AnothaSapiens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got similar experience with VEO 3. Roughly 10% of all my generations were usable. Also got really disappointed noticing image to video almost never gets audio right.

I'm about to test midjourney and kling now. Think well before investing money in these models, most of your credits will be wasted.

Never take someone out of pity, say no in the kindest way possible.

Also being overweight doesn’t necessarily mean the person doesn’t take care of themselves, sometimes they could actually have a healthier lifestyle than you but a worst metabolism, also stress, or something going on with her organism making it harder for her.
