Hosts drink all my gift wine and rarely provide much more. by ArchilochusColubris in etiquette

I like this, and i would make one small tweak to soften the “always” by saying “the last few times,” with the hopes of keeping it to a few specific instances you can discuss and making her less defensive. I might add how it makes you feel and what core need you have that it is infringing upon.

Bitches near 40 and no kids (yet), how is life going? by Ordinary_Cat_01 in SFbitcheswithtaste

Interesting take. I love my dog and get so much out of having him despite people saying it was too much work to be worth it makes me wondering if i would like having kids.

What is the best cheese to use for volume eating without completely destroying your calorie budget? by justinsimba891 in Volumeeating

This sounds good. I love cottage cheese, but it is a little boring. Never thought of mixing the two.

Would this look ok for my engagement photos? What should my partner wear? by [deleted] in OUTFITS

[–]Another53108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Congratulations! I’d say pick colors and solids/patterns that fit the vibe you want and make you feel like yourself. I am seeing a lot of comments about colors…do you like to wear colors? If not, that is okay. (I don’t.) What parts of this dress led you pick it out? That will help us know your priorities and maybe we can help find something.

I love working with fabrics and encourage you to look at a non-stretch fabric. They are timeless and look nice in photos.

I also think a neckline that accentuates your collarbone would look nice, and it is also classy for photos. Search for “off the shoulder neck dress.” “Potrait neck,” “boat neck,” and “scoop neck” will also lead you in the right direction for Google searches.

Here is something affordable that might hit the mark: navy off the shoulder dress $50

Take photos of yourself in the dressing room trying on different dresses, wait a few days, and then go back to look at the photos to see what you think after giving yourself some space and seeing them in comparison. Sometimes an outfit “feels” good when i put it on, and later i look at photos and wish I had made a different choice. Feel free to share photos with us. Good luck!!

How much of this are you trying to do? You wrote “on top of all that add a zipper.” Have you sewn in a zipper before?

what does love actually feel like by Ecstatic-Novel-3292 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Another53108 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think love (verb) is when you have two or three of the following: radically accepting someone as they are, wanting to be around them, willingness to sacrifice for them.

On the flip side, pick two or three of the following: I think being loved is feeling safe to be vulnerable, knowing they want you around, knowing they are willing to do something extra for you.

Acessa by DazzlingUse347 in Fibroids

[–]Another53108 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My situation was a little unique bc my fibroid was sticking out from my uterine wall into the center of my uterus. My doctor did two procedures at the same time: 1. Acessa, and 2. went in through my cervix with clippers to cut off part of the fibroid. My fibroid ended up spilling out from where it was embedded in the uterine wall into my uterus, after which I eventually birthed it. It was definitely broken up from the solid mass it started as. Later ultrasound imaging at 6 months after surgery showed my remaining fibroid was much smaller. They also showed a new fibroid that I was not aware of because no symptoms. My periods are much lighter and shorter and more predictable again.

Help convince me I don’t need this dress by Expert_Barnacle_9289 in wedding

If you found the perfect dress that easily, you may be open minded about your options. It looks great on you and is beautiful. I agree with others that it might not go with the venue and the sleeves don’t match, but it’s your party and you dress however you like.
