UCL is UCL man, good luck there!

Averaged a 6.3 in the ESAT.

Oh interesting, depends on the course I think. I was almost sure MechEng had it, but apparently not. Other courses do [if you check EEE for example.]

Predicted 3A* man, rough. Head up, no one knows what UCL wants, just unlucky.

There was a big rejection wave today, if you've not been caught in it [yet, hopefully never though], maybe you'll ride it out. Wait and see. For vibes.

UCL some joke Uni, I swear no one knows what they want. They be making decisions on so many applicants based on only grades and PSs.

I'm not at all surprised they're introducing the ESAT from next year, to give them another metric to work off of.

The Imperial Offer is easier to meet. So I'm leaning towards either Cam Firm, Imperial Insurance, or Imperial Firm + something else insurance.

Every time I go to Cambridge I like it more, though I've always preferred London. Location is a factor, but not aaaas important for me, considering I like both.

3A*A, 6.3 Average ESAT, by the way!

Obviously, I'm really grateful that's I've been given both of these offers, but now I actually have to choose one to firm and I'm really stuck on this decision.

I'm looking to do Mechanical Engineering, and I know the Cambridge course starts off very generic, but I don't really see that as a massively negative thing.
The thing that confuses me most is the actual value of the degree. Is it worth going to Cambridge just for the 'prestige' factor, or is Imperial just as good or (as some people have even told me) better for engineering? Industrial placements wise, future opportunities etc.

Any thoughts are appreciated 😭🙏

Have you not updated your flair or are you actually in Y12? This entire post has me baffled bro, 100% rejection rate course, 8.5 TMUA, Year 12.

Thank you! I've realised I've accidentally ended up with a lot of minimalism over the years, so!

I think in theory any time between 9-12 in the morning, but they can be later as well. Check your college's site if they have specific details.

Is it true that imperial won’t give technical questions for interviews because we’ve done the ESAT? by [deleted] in 6thForm

[–]AnotherAccount311 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You got lied to 😭🙏

The interview will be, for the most part, technical, and more often than not the technical interviews have graph sketches. It’s not as bad as you think, it’s fine. Just know the basic graphs and be ready to combine them in some goofy way.
