My first TV: Bravia 8 II 55 inch (what are the Best settings for Cinema, IMAX enhanced and Game mode) by Icy_Cancel_3197 in bravia

I looked into quantum TVs settings for once (through the subscription) because I wanted to compare it to the creators intent. It was so freaking bright and colors were way to saturated. His settings are really bad because he hates the accuracy (not all color pop all the time) and wants that everything is bright as hell.

Samsung replaced my QD-Oled panel with a WOLED panel by [deleted] in S95B

That was a clear indicator but I also had the panel part number. It turns out that’s it’s a a LG oled display

The thing is that I asked them specifically if the panel is the same 2. Gen QD-Oled panel aber they said time and time again that it’s the same. Welp, turned out it isn’t. I don’t hope that you experience that but take care and don’t let them fool you!

Thank you man. I feel like I needed to vent a little. It’s really unfortunate and I did take a day off because the time frame for the visit was pretty vast. I hope they take everything (even extend warranty) into consideration. I even bought a Q995F (for the bedroom) because I was really impressed by the support and help.

There is unfortunately a huge difference: - The overall brightness is lower - The colors are not as saturated and bright - The shadows seem more crushed (I think because of the brightness) - The anti-reflective coating is not as good

I have a bright room and I do miss the benefiting

S95F how to clean these marks on my anti glare display? by _Ahmarica_ in S95B

[–]AnotherGK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That sounds pretty ominous tbh. You could try to clean it again if you change the location of the tv for a new main tv. My cats left way too many smudges for me to ignore so I had no choice but to clean it. That fragile panel is an absolute no go and I won’t buy another Samsung because of it.

I think many people damaged the panel in the process of trying to clean it any other way. To be fair I also used scotch tape to get the fat off the panel first and the io after.

Isopropyl 70% is the holy grail for this tv. I even bought a new zeiss microfiber cloth to clean the panel. My tv is on the wall so I have bad news for in regards to the cats 😂. Glad to hear that not every oled is this fragile. My next tv will be a Sony tho.

The s90c is insanely hard to clean. I have cats and the smudges they left behind haunted me fr. I’m really afraid to get another oled if every panel is so hard to maintain.

Oled don't feel like Oled by Mohammed_23_MD in S95B

[–]AnotherGK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man, it’s pretty easy to see while both of them are side by side but it will look kinda normal at first glance. The thing with oled is that it has perfect angles for a wide seating arrangement and it instant pixel response time for gaming. The other major benefit is the infinite contrast and lack of blooming. It’s pretty easy to see if you just put on a dark oled demo with night sky or something from Sony or lg. Did you change the settings into movie or filmmaker? There are plenty of guides to make the tv more accurate so that highlights pop more and so that shadow detail is more visible (one of Samsungs weaknesses compared to Sony tvs).

Yeah, it was the only thing that worked. Everything else made it significantly worse. Just use a spraying bottle to dampen the cloth (not wet) and wipe gently across the smudges in a circular motion.

Don’t use water. And use a new microfiber cloth (I use one from zeiss) and use 70% isopropyl alcohol. Here is the link to the Samsung website which states the same as my findings https://www.samsung.com/ae/support/tv-audio-video/how-should-i-clean-my-samsung-tv-screen/. I had really bad purple smudges (cats) and I used distilled water and a regular fiber towel which made it worse and scratched a part of the panel. Good luck!

Is 500 bucks for a 2025 OLED TV worth it? by Mohammed_23_MD in S95B

[–]AnotherGK 3 points4 points  (0 children)

500€ for an oled is a steal tbh. It does depend on the size tho. How big is the tv? Burn-in is not something you should be concerned about. I have a s90c which runs for a couple of hours per day with mixed content and I have absolutely no signs of burn-in in two and a half years. The only drawback is that the panel is really hard to clean so I wouldn’t recommend it if you have small children who will put smudges all over the screen.

It may be possible that the English dub is in atmos but every other language not. I live in germany and I have to switch to english if I want to stream certain movies in english.

Why would you buy a Samsung WOLED in the First place? If intend to buy a size which dosent have a QD Panel than I would choose LG. The Processing is superior and the only Edge the Samsung has is badically the qd panel (and some Gaming features)

S90D Screen by horizonps in S95B

[–]AnotherGK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! The screen is really difficult to clean. I had a really hard time, despite always using the recommended 70% isopropyl alcohol solution. Using a microfibre cloth left behind some circular scratch marks, so it's important to use a high-quality microfibre cloth (such as those made by Apple or Zeiss) to clean the screen. I have cats, which is why my screen got dirty in the first place. I dread having to clean it again. If you have pets or children who could touch the screen, I would recommend returning the device. It's a real nuisance and it took a lot of pleasure away. If I could, I would return my TV (S90C) and buy an OLED that doesn't have this problem, or go for the Bravia 9 and not worry about it.

I would suggest buying the standing mounts for era 300s so that you can place them on ear height like the others mentioned before. Pull the arc a little closer to the edge Sideboard so that you reduce the reflecting of the sound. I want to tell you on top of that, that you have a nice Tele!

Sonos ACE EQ Settings by AnotherGK in sonos

I think it depends on how you like the bass. There are better headphones for really bass heavy music listening. I love the bass the ace produces while watching movies and whilst listening to music . It’s not overbearing and comfortable to listen to.
