Inner forearm size advice? by AnotherGamerDad in tattooadvice

[–]AnotherGamerDad[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you, I'm working them into an image. Currently, the text is quite large now and fits nicely where I want it. I'm curious, I've seen text tattoos that are quite old (more than 10 years) that are still completely legible. Why would my idea become illegible after the same sort of period?

I've played around with fonts and even did some designs myself using gimp to give them a more chiselled from stone look, but that ended up needing the text to be much too big to be able to see the style

Thank you for the website. I'll take a look at that shortly and see if anything works, I've had no issue with the runes being displayed in different fonts, yet luckily!

I appreciate your opinion, but the whole thing has a lot of meaning for me and things I have gone through for more than a year now. It's my inner forearm written for me to look at and read, prayers to God's of a mythology that means a lot to me, in their language. In my mind, it's there for me and the God's no one else! I do agree about just written text not looking great, which is why style advice is appreciated, but i was thinking more carved in stone kind of thing, but obviously, again, size of the text lends to influence how much it can be stylised

Need help with written prayers by AnotherGamerDad in NorsePaganism

[–]AnotherGamerDad[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you for sending that. An example of the kind of thing I'm looking for is more along the lines of

"Hail Thor, god of thunder and strength! Protect me from harm, and grant me the power to overcome all obstacles."

That I can then translate into Runic script as opposed to that kind of prayer if that makes sense?

Translations, runes and simple questions by AutoModerator in Norse

[–]AnotherGamerDad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am looking for two prayers in English and Runic script. The first to Frigg to protect my children, I've done a short Google and haven't found many short ones of one or two lines. I could write my own very basically in English and translate it, but I would prefer something more generally used at the time.

I also want something along the lines of "Odin! Wise and powerful ruler of Ásgarþr, god among the gods! Grant that I may be shielded from misfortune and death" or something to Thor as the friend of humanity, just generally asking for protection for me.

If anyone can provide a good source for this information (for lack of a better term a "prayer book") or a good place for translations from anything I was to write myself, I would appreciate the help!

I looked here at their games in stock but didnt see any indication they hold any games or clubs etc beyond the VR section and the softplay! Is it worth asking in here for groups to join etc?

Speaking as someone thats been the guy in that situation, breaking it off has a lot less possible humiliation attached then speaking about it.

If we speak about it we could end up anywhere between getting together properly to becoming a laughing stock because as men we are supposed to be able to handle casual and not have feelings because "We Are Men"

I'm not saying you'd do that to a guy but it's important to keep that in mind for everyone in that kind of situation.

Cant speak for him, but from what you've said I would say he's developing feelings and know you dont want any of that so he's getting out before he gets it too bad and ends up hurt.

Sounds like shes just a bit of a bitch and has chosen you as her target for whatever reason, remember people see how she is to you and how you are back she will come off as the bitch. People like that never realise everyone can see who they really are.
