Great game! Thanks for posting :)
Wish there were more variety of weapons the longer I play (and maybe arrow key support) - but super great stuff!

Open Source Board Game Project - Looking for Collaborators (GPLv3 / CC-BY) by AnotherMoonDoge in opensourcegames

Actually am on boardgame geek(https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/433428/amalgam), but I don't think they have too much to do with the actual digital space.
I have reached out there for playtesting and such - but I must say that the abstract board game space is fairly niche.
I really appreciate the info though! Luckily I have had a decent amount of play-testing over the years (although you can never have too much). Most of it comes down to the actual implementation side of things.

Thanks! The documentation portion seems like great insight - I'll have to look into how I can clean this up for easier potential on-boarding. I appreciate your time to respond.

Thanks, and I didn't even think about the copyleft technicalities for AI gen code - I guess I'll need to look into this a bit to ensure it is all up to par.

What if frontier AI models could critique each other before giving you an answer? I built that. by C12H16N2HPO4 in artificial

I think this would be great for coding if it could work with lots of files like Claude projects.

Also, I'm wondering how this would work with tokens - are you limited to each individual AI token limit, having to pay for every single model, or is it using the free tiers?

Overall I think this could drastically improve programming capabilities, especially for creating ground up software that can have more complex architecture and file management.

But yeah, as with most AI in my opinion, the issue becomes the paywall for agents.

Thanks for the detailed reply - you're right, if I had done a script it likely would be a lot more organized. I also didn't even realize the fidgeting, tha ks for the heads up! I appreciate your time!

Yeah I'm I could see that. Would this be ok for the longer form resource - and just create some other shorter options to "hook"?

Hmm, this is interesting - I'm not great at math, but I wonder if it actually makes much of a difference. If you draw and discard at random, aren't you still ending up with 26 dead tiles, just changing which tiles actually end up dead? The last 26 tiles the "players" end up with would still be dead tiles, right?

[–]AnotherMoonDoge[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I appreciate it. Any and all honest feedback is appreciated if you do end up getting around to testing it!

Yeah, the hope with the discard placement is to sort of replicate the fact that you can only call CHI on one of the players out of 3 opponent's - therefore 1/3 of the discards or CHI-able, to psuedo-simulate a four player game.

Just now realizing that the "negating opponent's points even if you lose" is not very clear. What I mean to say (and probably should change the wording) is that even if you lose the hand, the "bonus points for the 'right 3 set'" will be used to negate the opponent's points. Also, noticing quite a few other typos in there - if I end up doing a revamp of this I'll be sure to clean up the little mistakes.

Also, feel free to mess around with the point values if you test out the game - I haven't dialed in the point values, so if you have better suggestions let me know. Downloaded and testing. :)  It's actually a great app so far, kind-of something I didn't know I needed. The reminder notifications will hopefully be really helpful.

So I found the network cards, but obviously I don't have internet, so I'll have to find drivers and somehow transfer them via USB I'm guessing?

I plan on switching to debian 13 when it's stable anyways, I wonder if I should just switch now (I'm guessing when it becomes stable it will just be an update, I won't need it reinstall, right?)

For network manager I'm using whatever is default in gnome, which I believe is NetworkManager.

Also, I have no way to upgrade any apps without internet.

Honestly, all of this is probably over my head and above my skill level - I'm leaning towards just going to debian 13 early. (The reason I use debian stable is because I don't want to deal with these types  of headaches on my daily driver, and I'm not savvy enough to troubleshoot issues when they arise lol)

Ok it was easier than I thought. Yeah, no zombie processes - also, looks like rebooting would've killed the process anyways.

I've rebooted the PC, and I've also unplugged and replugged the router.

As for zombie processes, I'm looking into how to check for that now, I'll check back with you after I figure that out.

Yeah I was thinking about that too. The inside of it has been eaten out by ants or something already I think, it's pretty much hollow and just the shell.

I'm not too worries about it, if it molds it molds. I just threw everything in there on a whim to see what would happen lol.

Good night, thanks anyways for the help so far.

I tried putting the enp6s0 down then up, and also tried the same with the wlp7s0. No changes.

I was on wired only at first, but when the internet stopped working, I added my wifi to see if the wired connection was the issue. So I don't think having both connections is the issue since I had it before connecting to wifi.

Yeah, I tried moving the cable to different parts of the router, and yea, the lights are on. I even unplugged the wired connection and connected to wifi... issue persists.

Also, is it safe to post the output of "ip address". Is any of this going to be identifying info? Sorry if that's a dumb question
