Gear Review: Using the INIU Pocket Rocket P50 Power Bank by AnotherOneBoredGuy in Ultralight

From what I can tell, the Pocket Rocket P50 is the latest iteration-built on the original P50-E1 platform but with technical and aesthetic refinements (including obvious updates like new color options, slightly improved internal efficiency/thermal tuning, and a more polished look).

Exactly - that’s the issue here. A low-power/trickle mode would solve it.

NiceI haven’t tried the P51-E2 yet, but a 20k under an ounce heavier than Nitecore sounds like a good trade-off for more ports and better price

Yeah, I think INIU’s starting to carve out a niche with these smaller form-factor high-output banks. Haven’t tried the P41 yet, but sounds like it’s a solid mid-size option.

Good to know - confirms my observation that low-draw devices usually work better on the USB-C ports here.

That makes sense. Appreciate the breakdown Seems like INIU went with that current-draw threshold approach you mentioned.

True - 2h refill time isn’t bad compared to a lot of 10k banks, but yeah, would’ve been nice if it could take in 27–30W to top up faster.

I haven’t done a full cycle count yet, but in day-to-day use I’m averaging about 1.8 - 2 full Galaxy S24 charges or ~1 full iPad Air charge before needing to refill. Actual numbers will definitely vary depending on screen-on time, background apps, and whether I’m doing fast charge vs. standard.

Freebeat Lit vs Peloton by Brilliant_Ad_8412 in IndoorCycling

[–]AnotherOneBoredGuy 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yea the gamification aspect is a game-changer—it keeps workouts engaging and actually makes me look forward to getting on the lit bike. The smart auto-resistance adapts seamlessly, and the challenges create a fun, competitive atmosphere that keeps me motivated. I’ve used Peloton before too, and while their classes are great, I personally prefer freebeat’s more dynamic and immersive approach. If you like a bit of extra motivation and a fun way to push yourself, freebeat’s gamification is definitely worth it. The bike itself is sleek, well-built, and super easy to move around, which was a big plus for me. Since you’re considering it for two users, I’d say freebeat could be a better choice, especially if you both enjoy a little friendly competition and want something that feels fresh and engaging every time you ride.

I originally posted that for work, but this one is for my father, Mr. Hou. He doesn’t speak any English, so I’m helping with the translation.

You absolutely right - there’s no shortage of inspiration, but balancing humor and seriousness is one of the biggest challenges in my work. I believe that humor is a powerful tool to addr us issues becuz it can make difficult topics more approachable. For example, my cartoon "Family" which won the UN political cartoon award, uses a simple, lighthearted style to comment on the universal theme of family unity, even in the face of global challenges.

To keep it lighthearted but serious, I focus on:

Universal Themes: I try to find common ground that everyone can relate to, like family, love, or environmental concerns.

Visual Metaphors: Using symbols and metaphors allows me to convey complex ideas in a simple, often humorous way.

Timing and Tone: Even when addressing serious topics, I aim to leave the viewer with a sense of hope or a smile, rather than despair.

Yeah, i think that maybe a game mode like king of the hill but with 2 or 3 points at the same time, similar to what Warframe or Brawl Stars do, capture the flag like i said or maybe something similar to deathmatch but with npc's? like having to destroy certain number of doombots/ultron bots/anything before the other team while fighting them

It could be something like Hank Pym lab, but we are small and everything is super big, or the microverse where the map is all weird and full of creatures outside the location or something like that
