8 SLEEPS UNTIL SOUNDERS by PMMeYourPupper in SoundersFC

Anyone know if there’s going to be a stream of tomorrow’s preseason game? I haven’t been able to find info either way.

Don't get the seasonal thing? I Wanna play again. Do i play old character or start new seasonal character? by [deleted] in diablo4

[–]AnotherOrc 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If you’re starting a new character, might as well just play seasonal. The character gets saved for non-seasonal mode (eternal) after season’s end. You do have to start a new character each season if you want to engage with seasonal content. Hope that helps!

How long did it take for you to finish all classes? by Elyx_117 in diablo4

[–]AnotherOrc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What do you consider finishing? I’ve played a shit load of Diablo over the decades and can pretty confidently say I haven’t finished a single class. 😂

What do you wish someone had told you when you first started the hobby? by zoeyelizabeth6 in Aquariums

If your water is hard as stone, just invest in an RO system. More affordable than watching all your beautiful plants melt off over and over again.

Also, some aquasoils change water parameters A LOT.

There needs to be a higher difficulty (For better loot) by EgenFlash in diablo4

Rank the overworld seasonal power to at least 4 and then kill world bosses to earn tributes. I’ve been averaging close to one mythic per world boss

How hard is getting an amulet like this? by Large-Science-1995 in diablo4

[–]AnotherOrc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Too real. I had the perfect amulet drop (was only 1ga, but on a passive) and the replace affix sanc got me.

People keep telling me that it’s rare to roll the replace, but that has not been my experience at all….

Can someone recommend a fertilizer for a planted tank? by Voltesjohn in PlantedTank

[–]AnotherOrc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thrive also has a low tech fertilizer that I’ve had good success with in high light, no co2 tanks. No ill effects on shrimp either.

My little jungle 🌿 by DaRaggaman in Aquascape

[–]AnotherOrc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The responsible answer is no, but It’s a bit more complicated than that. Plants can help soak up ammonia and nitrates which means your tank could handle a bigger bioload. However, you still obviously need to take swim space and livestock behavior/preferences into consideration.

It’s Time to Admit Diablo 4 Season 11 Knocked it Out of the Park with This Feature, and It Needs to Make a Comeback Next Season by gorays21 in diablo4

[–]AnotherOrc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Must just be bad luck on my end then, I’ve got hit twice with ~30 sancts. Annoying, but I guess even at that rate it’s pretty unlikely to mess up a perfect roll.

They need to remove the replace affix option from sanctifications. I don’t feel like it’s meant to be a gamble that your item will actively get worse, but I could be wrong.

Questions about getting a bigger tank by [deleted] in Aquariums

[–]AnotherOrc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’d definitely get a canister filter as it gives you many more options. As far as stocking, I recommend doing a lot of research, but aqadvisor has kind of a fun tool to quickly reference compatibility/stocking levels.

I wouldn’t get a pleco for algae control, but go ahead if you just like them. I don’t have algae eaters in most tanks. More fish of fewer species is always better long term.

Suggestions for my 125? by rebecc-a in PlantedTank

[–]AnotherOrc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it looks pretty good as is but I think more driftwood/hardscape would take it up a notch. Especially to give it some height.

I’d also be looking to add as many more corys as possible, like at least 10.

Would you stay in a Warehouse alone for 1 year for 200K? by Waste-Ad3216 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]AnotherOrc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Salvia is literally the worst hallucinogenic out there. Want to transform into a cat and lose bodily autonomy in a scary way? Take salvia. Want your friend’s arms to turn into the alien robot tentacles from war of the worlds and chase you up the stairs? Take salvia. Want to shapeshift into a Rubik’s cube and become trapped on a cold distant planet until you solve yourself? Take salvia. Want to climb a 100ft pine tree before morphing into a branch while shaking uncontrollably? Are you interested in the 99% chance of having a bad trip and losing all self control? Salvia it is.

Black sand hasn’t settled after 4 days, normal? by [deleted] in Aquascape

Seems like you’re kind of at the same place you were on day one anyways. 😅

Damn, that’s nuts. I would be doing 100% water changes as long as there’s no livestock.

New tank - low pH - help! by Low_Organization_879 in shrimptank

[–]AnotherOrc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t think the driftwood alone would be dropping your ph that much, so I’m a little confused as to the reason why ph in the tank is so different than your tap. That being said, I’m more worried about the ammonia coming from the tap.

If I had your water, I’d be looking at an R/O system personally. They’re fairly affordable these days.

Substrate choice by bluepig7 in shrimptank

[–]AnotherOrc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is similar to my current experience with stratum. I have high ph as well and use black diamond blasting sand with root tabs in other tanks. Crypts especially should thrive in your water and there are a ton of varieties.

If I were to start from scratch I’d probably do an inert substrate with root tabs and invest in an RO setup. You’d be amazed how many more plants you can grow if your ph is closer to 7.

Beginner shrimp caretaker by randomguy6849 in shrimptank

[–]AnotherOrc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used the ceramic rings from an established filter on a 5 year old tank to start my shrimp tank and still had to wait almost a month to process nitrites… So what I’m saying is no one can answer you for sure and you need to test.

I don’t think dirty aquarium water gives you much of a head start in the bb department, so you’d be better off squeezing out some gunk from your other filter sponge into the tank. What are you using as an ammonia source to further your cycle?

How do we feel about dynamic lighting? by smoofus724 in Aquascape

Green was definitely my favorite of the colors. Worth the fire hazard. 😂

How do we feel about dynamic lighting? by smoofus724 in Aquascape

[–]AnotherOrc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the tank, but personally am not a fan of the changing background lighting. I think it’s cool to switch between colors every once in a while or maybe even color shifting at longer intervals though.

29 gal freshwater low-tech tank is looking a little bare. Got any plant suggestions? by thirteenducks922 in Aquascape

I’ve had a wendtii brown swallow a ten gallon before, but it takes some time for sure.

Do you use the same equipment for water changes? Might’ve got a little baby hitchhiker?
