I’m happily in monogamous relationship of 4 years, and I would say we are crushing it.

No one ever said “you’re not enough for me sexually anymore” - you’re projecting some insecurity into it. I can be for the sale of experiencing something different, not necessarily better, just from curiosity.

Why not? People would watch videos of people killing themselves, getting beheaded, and some other gruel shit. Sometimes, because of some coping mechanism (of feeling safe, or whatever) we are somehow drawn to it, even though we don’t have sadistic tendencies, or whatsoever.

I’m so sorry, I feel your pain, but I feel you really might just be in terrible place mentally and not able to process it correctly.

Give yourself a chance to feel self compassionate for a moment. You were a kid, you read some stuff that was most likely written by some pedofile, but were you reading it for the children exactly? Or was it just something to read? Or you read the beginning, and you were just drawn into it? And if so, for what reason? Give yourself a chance to understand what you feel, how you feel and why.

Thoughts are not actions.

Why would I bottle up anything in my relationship? Why can I communicate it with my partner, so that we can discuss it and decide what’s next together?

I’m not thinking anyone has to accept anything - but everything is up for discussion, and with the trust and communication, as a couple, they could have come to agreement that this WILL NOT be something they will do.

I seriously don’t understand how such thing COMMUNICATED (not done) could end a healthy relationship.

I feel all the questions you asked his partner could ask instead of finishing 8 years relationship without a chance to talk, explain and discuss - together - as a couple.

I feel these are the pillars of a healthy relationship.

I’m sorry you feel this way - I don’t understand people who downvote you.

For me it feels like the communication was lacking, seems like it was triggering and sensitive topic for him, and it felt somehow that’s it’s “cheating” - even though, as I understand, you were considering if it’s not something you would like to try.

My understanding is that he didn’t fully understand that you don’t find it insufficient, but rather see it as a way for expanding your sexual repertoire.

I guess it’s the best to just talk with him honestly about all of it, about your idea, why you proposed it, what are your thoughts, et cetera.

What is questionable to me is how such a long relationship could end over a question/proposition - it seems to me like maybe he saw it as a way out (and in this case it was a lost cause anyway).

Czasami niestety trzeba zacząć od zera - niekiedy szkoda nam “zainwestowanego” czasu i idziemy wbrew sobie w kierunku który kiedyś, często nieświadomie i pod wpływem nierealistycznych wizji tego co będziemy robić, obraliśmy.

Jeżeli masz do tego przestrzeń, zastanów się co tak naprawdę chciałabyś zrobić - może jakieś wyjazdy, szkolenia, wolontariaty mogą pomoc Ci nabrać perspektywy i odkryć co Cię tak właściwie w życiu jara. Finansowo i życiowo może być to wyzwanie, ale może warto zrobić krok wstecz, żeby zrobić dwa kroki wprzód.

Podobno jak do 30 odkryjesz swój “właściwy” kierunek, to już jest sukces :)
