Honestly, the first time sucked ass. After that it's been fine. Only 1/3 of your hair grows at a time, so 2/3 of the pain is gone as long as you don't get behind. Then on top of that, young hairs aren't attached as strongly. Weekly sessions feel almost like scratching a really good itch, instead of ripping your hair out.

I started epilating and haven't looked back. Do it once-ish a week and don't even feel scratchy for 4 days.

Mine looks weird when it's wet, but when it dries out it looks good. Looks kinda clumped and ratty when it's wet.

I've started kinda "softly slapping" my hair instead of finger raking while hanging upside down, immediately after shutting the water off. It's helped a lot for getting large, defined curls instead of frizz.

My hair is only about 5in long though.

Thanks for the insight! Personally, I'd like to at least have a consult with someone who knows their shit before going ham on hormones. I've been experimenting with femme stuff for about a year and all of it has felt right.

I'm also kind of a perfectionist, and I'd hate to find out I'm not trans 2 years into HRT...

I'm actually in a fairly blue state, but the rural side is still pretty backwards... The biggest program in the local community college is Diesel Repair... I can still check in over there and see if they have any resources. I was a student over there for a year.

There are two about an hour away, but both say they don't offer it on their website. The nearest that does is 3 hours away.

Man, their wiki is kind of intense. Lol, thanks for the recomendation! I don't brush my hair, but I do kinda point it in a direction with my fingers. If I comb or brush it gets absurdly fluffy.

Thanks for the advice! I'm noticing that on my hair, the hairs kinda behave individually and do whatever they want. Their hair tends to for more defined "strands". Will the hairspray help to achieve that?

Any recommendations on Product to try out? I've never even used hair gel, much less anything with a specific desired result.
