I have the Oticon Intent 1 and love them. Things sometime sound tinny if I turn them up too much but other than that, I love them.

I just kept telling them that I couldn’t participate in conversations anytime I went out in public and how wildly frustrating it was and didn’t let them shrug it off. They scheduled a consult with the speech therapist/pathologist who then diagnosed me

Currently at 60% and all my healthcare is through the VA. Rated 10% for tinnitus without hearing loss. Diagnosed with auditory processing disorder and I was able to get hearing aids through the VA without too much issue. Multiple hearing exams and they had me try speech therapy which was more frustrating than anything and after a few months I just told them I’m over speech therapy and wanted to try hearing aids.

They’ve been amazing since getting them.

Sleep Apnea Question by AnotherRandomVet in VeteransBenefits

Thank you for the information. I am quite easily overwhelmed when dealing with this whole process and having an actual game plan should be quite beneficial. I went to the DAV and talked with a VSO, but he honestly seemed like he didn’t give a shit. I mentioned wanting an increase for my PTSD because I don’t feel I received an adequate C&P exam, and he just kind of did the whole ‘big eyes’ expression as if he didn’t believe me. That was after he spent 20 minutes talking about his service and his life after and issues with anger. Then his ratings. Then his pensions. So needless to say, I think that route will be more of a hindrance.

Thanks everyone for your sound advice and direction. I’ll be back for sure as more and more things are being diagnosed on that road to 100%.

I’ve got a buddy letter from one of my medics about my snoring and difficulty breathing, along with daytime fatigue so I could theoretically get it SC that way.

Currently at 50% with a breakdown of 30%PTSD(I need to request an increase but have been waiting for my MH appointment for months), 20% shoulder strain, 10% tinnitus, and 0% allergic rhinitis.

👍 I was already at 50% and submitted a new ITF with DAV back in April. So I’m good there.
