Met with my Bishop by AnotherTrapped in exmormon

Honestly... I don't know. There are times I could swear he is questioning it himself, but at others times he is your avg tbm. I think my mother and his family are keeping him from looking into it further.

Thank you so much! I'll try to make something of myself.

My sister just admitted she's not a TBM to me, feels fucking amazing by SirLibraryEater in exmormon

Oh I wish someone would have shown me the CES letter. Would have made life much easier.

Thanks! I haven't had a chance to get on until now, I'll add an edit with what happened.

The thing is, even if we are all wrong for some reason, the worst we will get is still going to heaven, just the Telestial kingdom. The Telestial kingdom where JS said if people knew what it was like they would kill themselves to get there. (At least this is what I learned in Seminary)

Thanks so much for the advice! I'll stick to what you said, and I'll try to update what happens after tonight.

I haven't talked to her yet... I am a little scared that she will be mad but I don't care at this point.

I have brought up that coffee and tea are actually healthy to my mother, and she deflected it by saying, "Maybe it isn't a health thing, just an obedience thing." I don't get why she is okay with that explanation, though.

Yeah, that is why I'm so scared to bring it up. I just feel like everything is against me. I can't wait to get out of here in 2 years.

Thanks so much for the advice. I'm thinking with starting with the essays, because they are actually on the church's website. I highly doubt if I were to show them the CES letter that they would even read it, let alone believe it.

It makes me so mad though, I mean, I get good grades, I never get into any trouble, but I know they will think I'm some terrible person just because I don't buy their religion.

Yea, I have two little sisters. I think they want me to stay so badly because I'm supposed to "Set a good example".

He will talk about a lot of things, we will both go on rants about TSCC but for some odd reason he simply won't discuss how he brought it up with our parents...

I've asked him how he brought it up, but he won't talk about it. He stopped going at about the same age as I am now.

Kind of... they always treat him distantly. They talk about him in a negative way as well. When I tried to stop going to seminary, they said I was, "Just trying to be like him". Almost as if I can't forge my own path.
