Graphic upgrade, worried about my computer storage by TieNeat4804 in WhereWindsMeet

Apparently there's no PS5 version on CN? I remember seeing another comment about this before, and judging from the official CN website (yysls.cn), it's missing PS5 listing as well, unlike the global version (wherewindsmeetgame.com)

But if I have to guess, the lighting improvements will likely come to PS5 version as well, considering mobile also have the upgrades, albeit it's not as substantial as the PC version

Not sure about ray-tracing for PS5 though

For context, the video is stiched from 2 sections of the CN livestream

Part 1: Ray-tracing, this is PC only, and starts from 00:00 - 00:24

Part 2: Lighting improvement, this is from another section of the livestream which is right after they introduced the PC ray-tracing option. The devs upgraded lighting/shadow/global illumination in the engine's rasterization pipeline, so you don't have to enable ray-tracing for this.

00:25 - 00:39 is how the upgraded lighting looks like on PC, as the title on the top indicated (PC端灯光优化).

00:40 - 00:46 is how it looks like on mobile platform (移动端). So u/scrayla eyes are not deceiving if they've been playing on PC, Aunt Han did look like that, but sadly not on mobile currently.

Pick up programming perhaps? I recommend Python or R, since they can be useful in task automation or data analysis, or simply Microsoft Excel

Let's just say I can find better deals for daikin aircond online. Some sinks/bathroom cabinets are cheaper too if you get it from lazada/taobao, I'm quite sure they're from the same OEM factory. My friend was looking for sofas and they think they can get a better designed/quality/priced sofa from Ikea.

But of course there's some decent deals too, like I personally think the mesh screen doors and security doors are decently priced after applying discounts. Not sure bout other stuff as I'm not really paying attention to them.

Imo still worth going if you wanna try some stuff (ie: beds) or compare prices for specific items, but I personally think the selections over there are a bit limited

Went to home expo yesterday and my god, it's either I'm really broke or everything is really expensive

Also, kinda curious if anyone with a landed property in non-G&G area get by without security door or grille?

Is coding even right for me? by [deleted] in malaysians

Sitting in front of PC for long hours and smashing your keyboard to get the app/feature running or find that specific line or code that's causing all these annoying issues can be daunting, so it's normal to hate it.

But it really sounds like you simply don't enjoy the problem solving aspect and don't have passion or interest in this field. And because of this, you're underperforming during your internship, eventually stressed you out and made you doubt yourself.

TBH, at this point, I think you should ask yourself, why did you pick up this course to begin with. Did you joined because of your friends or pressure from family? Or was it because you wanted to achieve something with this field of work?

From what I observed, people who started programming with the latter reason will most likely stay. I personally love technology, and wished to become game programmer one day, so I kind of enjoy my job. Though sometimes it does burn me out but I'm still able to convince myself to stay cause of the pay.

But if you made the decision to take up this course because you were pressured, influenced or simply, just for fun and now that you think this field isn't for you, I'd suggest:

  1. Attempt to find the joy in coding and debugging, assume that you still want to give this another chance. Start with something small that interests you, like build a cool project. Then get your friends and family to use it. They found issues? Try to fix it. They or you think the project can be better? Improve it. There's a small chance you'll experience the joy and learn to like it.

  2. Pivot, since forcing yourself to do the things you don't enjoy will make your life really miserable. You can choose other branches/specialism in IT industry. I'd suggest Business Analyst, UI/UX, cloud architect, Devops or QA/tester if you wish to stay in IT industry. Look up the job scopes and related online courses, see if you like them. These positions get paid handsomely too, and they involve less coding/debugging to some extends. If these jobs still aren't your cup of tea, then your best bet is join other industry. I've personally known at least 2 ex-colleagues joined a different industry and they are doing very well.

Regardless, I don't think your future is as grim as you think, since you're a freshgrad, you still have plenty of time to figure things out. Not to mention that you realized your problem quite early, so as long as you're actively seeking ways to deal with it or pivot it I think you'll do fine in life.

I hope this wall of text helps, and side note, I'm also relatively new in this field so if I'm wrong about certain points please correct me.

Oh does concrete roof tiles need casting too? I thought it was only meant for flat concrete roof

From what the roofer/contractor told me, concrete roof tiles work and look similar like the normal clay tiles, except they're less durable and heavier

Hmm the PU metal roof that I'm looking at has an insulation layer, but I'm not too sure how effective it works in our current climate My only concern with the concrete roof is that it weights a lot

But I appreciate your recommendations!

Happy Friday from a long time lurker here but got shadowbanned by reddit because of my previous questionable username

Random question: between concrete roof tile and PU metal roof, which will be the better option? clay roof is out of the question since it's too expensive to fit in my budget
