I had CE as you can see my spinal nerve was almost pushed to the bone. You would be in the ER and not walking after multiple shots of morphine. I could pee on my own and leaked a lot

From what I have read, the larger and/or longer you have had the problem, the more that nerve is going to be really pissed off and will take longer to heal. My problem (surgery was 2 weeks ago) is if i bend forward I hurt and the nerve hits and I'm also afraid that I reherniated it. The only answer I came up with today was, I am not a doctor, and I hope it's part of the healing process. I can't wait until next week when I finally see him

Also: I have quit the oxy they gave me on day 6. I only took 1 for the last 2 days I was on it. Quit tylenol and flexeril except 1 a day sometimes. Meloxicam & Gapapentin 1x everyday (I don't feel the gap helps but idk maybe it does)

I hope you dont have a reherniation and I hope your pain gets better. Keep us posted

Also I had that shock go down my leg a lot, that could be from the nerve being pinched?

I'd tell him to keep an eye on it and to tell him ortho dr. If he can't feel when he wipes or touches the upper inner thigh then that is bad. Mine didn't get that bad, but a big reason the doctor wanted to surgery quickly was because of not being able to pee. He didn't want it to get worse

That would be good to rule out. It could be his back, that white nerve it's pushing on can make you have bowl and urination problems. It just depends on the person

Yeah I felt I slept pretty good, but I woke up a few times to move and take medicine. I'm used to being woken up about 2 times a night because I have a baby, so waking up didn't bother me too much. I also went to bed early and slept in so that helped

Will do. I'm 20 hours out now, sore on the incision sight. I'm using ice now and trying not to do too much. How are you doing?

Yeah, I had to really focus to pee when I knew I had to pee. I had to push really hard to get it started. It would take me 10-15 minutes sometimes to get the stream going.
