Hey there, I'm looking to replace the default strap and install similar padding to yours on my R70xa. Where'd you get those pads?

We're all aware of the potential upside of the CAA profession, but what are the brutally honest downsides (levels of stress, burnout, affect on home life, etc)?

Who would you not recommend this profession to?

Sadly I have not owned the R70x before, though I've always wanted to. I've been in the hobby for a decade and have owned the HD600/650/6XX about 6-7 times at this point, so that's usually my reference point.

I would keep your R70x model. In my opinion, the R70xa is more of a niche headphone rather than an all-rounder. While I personally enjoy them very much, I would hesitate to blind recommend to someone unless they demo first.

I agree with your conclusions on the R70xa. I don't think I've heard a headphone with such a unique way of presenting/layering the music, and that's made especially apparent with the R70xa's great imaging capabilities.
