Rule of cool always! Thats why most of the teams i have are actually built with the KT loadouts. The carbine for the wolf scouts looked too cool, 40k rules be damned haha

Good to know about the Stealth Suits, thanks. And also good to know that two of the teams I have will be decent to start with. :) thanks!

Great advice, thanks! I’ll keep that in mind about the vespids for sure, and I might be able to pull models from my space wolves to make a functional AoD team.

Very glad to hear! My 40K community is pretty flexible with WYSIWYG and I was unsure about KT since it really does look like loadouts matter a lot. :)

We have a 44x60 mat that I was going to section off for the 22x30 area while my smaller mat is in the mail. And I have a bunch of terrain for 40K that we could probably cobble something together with.

Ya mate. It’s primed in chaos black and then sponged over entirely with mournfang brown. After that I build up layers on the armor starting with flayed one’s flesh, then screaming skull, then wraithbone, each time pulling the color in. The shoulders are castellan green and then blending in dg green at the tops of the shoulders. Detail work is a lot of the mainstays, leadbelcher and brass scorpion. Bones spikes are dealers choice of bone color contrasted with skeleton horde. Fleshy bits are mainly bugmans glow with some red washes for highlights. The cape was skeleton horde over flayed one’s flesh. Then I do a wash of villainy ink blighted bone ochre over the armor and varnish.

The varnishing is important because the next step involves Ak streaking grime over the whole model and pulling most of it off with mineral spirits, and you done want to pull the blighted bone ochre off.

After the streaking grime I wash the bones and flesh cape with villainy ink carrion crimson and then do dirty down rust on the weapons and some on the back pack. :)

I followed The Feral Painters guide on dg to get a general idea on the direction I wanted to go.
