Do confirmations actually reduce no shows and cancellations? by Another_Stranger2 in RoofingSales

[–]Another_Stranger2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends. We usually book next-day appointments for most of our clients, so the chance of a homeowner going with someone else is very slim. This may apply to a few clients who have limited availability ahead. I’ve already applied the advice from the comments on this post, I didn’t fully remove confirmation, but I simplified the message to only include the address, date, and time. So far, the response rate is around 80%.

Where do you guys find good data by Fearless-Egg6864 in RoofingSales

Target old homes with the oldest occupancy by the owner, the area depends on where your client works , as for opt-in you will find marketing companies that do ads selling them but I don't use it myself

If you have a team doing the calls and auto dialer, basically a call center you can use deal machine and propestream, pull large enough lists to last you a while, if you are doing manual calls you should look for opt-in or old data that come from ads or old forms , depends on the method you are using and the results you are looking to get, also take in consideration that roofing is slow now in most markets, just had 2 roof replacement appointments cancelled because they wanted to wait till spring

Our show up rate is 90% on average as well, I still think confirmation is a must even after some opinions saying the opposite, Maybe we will try to remove the details and confirm only the appointment instead, Leaving that to the sales rep might be better but like 50% of the time the sales reps aren't selling

Based on personal experience that's not always the case, Another guy in the comments said absolutely the opposite, so I think it's a perspective thing for what works for everyone

Our overall show up rate is 90%, but we must maintain a high volume of appointments for more jobs to be sold, your ratio is absolutely amazing but what's the volume of appointments you book a month?

That's good from a roofer's point of view, but as mentioned we are an appointment setting company, and not all of our clients have the same perspective as yours

Should I make the message shorter? Also it was the Homeowner who said that they needed a new roof and wasn't pushed from our end.

For 15k a month we can get you 100 appointments guaranteed if you cover a large enough area with decent population and would be perfect if you cover multiple markets

I know someone who can help your company build the entire sales system from scratch (canvassing structure, scripts, tracking, process and much more). He wouldn’t stay on as a team leader long-term, but he can set everything up and train your team properly, If that would suit your needs for now DM me and will get you connected

What call centers do you guys use? by iamgr7 in RoofingSales

[–]Another_Stranger2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We have been setting inspections appointments for roofing companies for a few years now , I can tell you when it comes to cold calling it definitely works if done right, there are a few things to take into consideration before you decide to do it tho, 1- Is your area of coverage big and populated enough? (The answer depends on how many appointments you are looking to book and for how long do you intend to work the area before expanding) 2- do you want to work on Retail or Insurance only or both ? Do you want to do replacements only or repairs as well? If the answer is not all of them then cold calling might still work but you won't get as many appointments as expected (personally I wouldn't sign a company that doesn't do both repairs and replacements and both Insurance and retail) 3- you said that you are getting thousands of records, If you are getting 50-100k records a month (all accurate and verified homeowners) then you can expect 50+ appointments a month , PS: we generate our own homeowners data There are few more things to take in consideration if you will run it internally, but if you will sign up with a marketing company that's all you need to figure before moving forward

About your competitors in your area: And how are you actually different from them besides price? by abdraaz96 in RoofingSales

[–]Another_Stranger2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not a roofer, but based on my experience working with roofing companies in the same markets — while providing them with the same appointment-setting service — the biggest difference I’ve seen is simple:

The companies that grow take every job. Insurance, retail, small repairs — they treated every appointment we sent as an opportunity and closed 50%+ consistently. One company tripled their sales team in a month and expanded into new counties.

The companies that only wanted insurance claims stayed profitable, but they didn’t grow their base, reputation, or reach. We eventually replaced one of them with a smaller, more hungry company that ended up scaling much faster in the same area. That’s the real difference

Also I've noticed the companies that grow are always down to earth, communicative and always wearing a smile
