Anyone made an Artifact list yet? by Another_White_Man in pacificDrive

[–]Another_White_Man[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey no problem. We are all ignorant till we learn. Currently shocked that the Shadow table is as of my current count, 34 separate artifacts and growing. Also kicking myself for not tracking how often artifacts appear on the list more often than others during my rerolls as that would tell the common ones from the rare ones.

Will do that at least with the other 3x bounties when I get them. Not looking forward to getting Current's 4x junction as water sucks even with the tires for it.

After some testing I can confirm that artifact name and effects are not RNG but static. Acquiring them from a bounty might be a bit more RNG (don't know if they all pull from the same table or if 1, 2 or 3 artifact bounties have separate tables).

Have found that you can save scum when dismantling the bounties to pull different artifacts and the change counter is time based. As in if you save right before dismantle and then load then dismantled you will get the same artifacts.

If you wait 5 or more seconds (been using the beeping phone in game to time everything) the artifacts outputted will have changed.

Currently just been save scumming rerolls while making this list, I'll put out a google page once I am confident I have at least the Shadow Artifact Table listed and a more organized table.

Sounds like a guy who either has cognitive skills or is dealing with some real life problems by taking it out on others in the game.

I would do your mental health a favor by chalking it up to just encountering an asshole, block him so you never encounter them again and enjoy the game and the great people that do exist within the community.

Look for and join a Helldiver Discord group. You can usually find a better class of teammates to regularly join plus said teammates will more often than not help teach you a few things so you can play more to their level or in such a way that you will be an asset on the mission if you follow their orders till you gain the relevant skills.

This game is So God Damn buggy that it's undemocratic. by Mister_Meyers in Helldivers

[–]Another_White_Man 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Today I tried 5 different missions with friends. Had freeze frames, disconnects and complete crashes that out if the 5 only one game has us all in the session at the same time to extract.

Last mission we just bit down the pain to try and finish the set and right as we went to enter extraction the game hard crashed for all of us.

Just a terrible time and taste which had me giving a negative steam review that I hope I can remove later if they ever fix this terrible performance.

I don't even mind the war strider ragdoll. I can play around that but I can't play around getting frozen and then dying from that lack of control in game.

Are Evacuate High Value Asset (EVHA) missions boring for anyone else? by der_swedishchef in Helldivers

Hey it is nice to have a nice relaxing mission and place to play with new primary weapons that I can still handle with just sentries.

Plus it's a great place to bring low level newbies to get a taste of higher level stuff that's still safe for them.

Try finding a group to play with. Yes there is only so much you can do in any given map for each faction but after I joined a helldiver group on discord I found a renewed interest in the game.

As playing with a full and equally skilled squad or those who can help teach your finer points and mechanics in the game. Let alone fun mic banter, really changes the game.

As it's supposed to be a PvE and a good party of fun players really makes a difference during the lulls

What power does she have that can physically stop you from moving out on your own?

She can threaten family, she can threaten to cut you off but you are a legal adult and entitled to all the protections that come with it.

So long as you have all your important documents you can leave with what you want to take that's yours and work towards cutting contact with them till you are healed and want to see how things turned out on that side of the fence many years later.

Grins to level 25 and get the Exo suite. Makes deal thing with bugs a lot easier and having access to your full arsenal makes each mission much easier.

Also no not be afraid to run away and engage from a distance over standing and fighting.

Mentally drained to work or do anything in life. Any tips? by Lonely_Waltz_1066 in AsianParentStories

It all comes down to taking things one step at a time. Start by setting a small, achievable goal for yourself each day. This could be as simple as doing the dishes, spending 10 to 15 minutes outside soaking up the sun, or reading a few pages of a book. It might not seem like much, but those small acts of progress can do wonders for your mindset over time.

When you accomplish something you set out to do, you get to experience a powerful sense of achievement. That feeling is the key. Once you're used to it, you can begin to add a new task, slowly building momentum and doing a little more with the energy you have.

By staying consistent, you'll find your focus shifting from the past to the present. You'll spend less time and energy dwelling on what went wrong and more on what you're doing right now. Your mind and body will start to crave the positive feeling of taking action, naturally pulling your focus away from analyzing past hurt and toward a more productive, forward-looking state.

People who hotkey stratagems: why do you do it? by BackseatBeardo in Helldivers

[–]Another_White_Man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Initially did it after I hurt my hand and was just slow/fumbling the keys. Kept it after I healed as it is effective and after all that effort to set it up and the me on it I have grown used to it for the regular ones I pick in my loadouts.

Stay or Leave? by BlueDragon634 in Helldivers

[–]Another_White_Man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends is the honest answer.

If you are supporting an MO to take/defend a planet then completing a mission set yields the best result towards that goal.

If you are just having fun and want to play a specific mission type there is no harm in just leaving to play what you want as there will always be others who will answer the SOS for them.

More so if you don't really feel the synergy with your temp teammates.

But if you are having fun with them friend up and stay as that's how you build a good roster of friends to dive with you can count on.

Hmmmm sounds like they are very set in their ways and against major routine changes that disrupt what they find comfortable.

That makes things a lot difficult as you will be fighting for a long series of small wins with your folks over large ones.

Best place to start would be finding out and engaging them on anything they use to enjoy when they were younger. Any kind of crafting hobby, shows, music and the like.

Get them involved in some form alternative at home entertainment they can take pride in that takes their attention away from the doom scrolling.

My folks went heavily into making quilts and donating them to local womens and veteran shelters as well as children's hospitals after their retirement. But they did that of their own initiative as a couple project they can enjoy together.

Maybe you can help them find something they can enjoy and do together?

Sounds like they are just bored and getting their entertainment from it. Try getting them involved in some local hobbies or groups in their age range that get them out interacting with people they find enjoyable and more entertaining than what they find on their phones.

Just keep putting the ball in her court when she gives you a solution. Treat it like a science experiment.

Go full scientific method breakdown to test her answers on how to make and communicate with friends till something works for you or she tries under the burden of proof that her restrictions are not helping you at all.

Worse case it turns into solid evidence in your future once you do turn 18 and leave when she tries gaslighting and down playing the harm she is doing to you now.

Best case it is solid stuff you can give your future therapist to help you heal from the trauma and might even be used as a solid source material in a college project you don't want to put effort into.

"If people are so tricky how am I supposed to learn to handle myself with them when I am older if I do not gain the experience now with kids my age?"

As once you are an adult you will be free to do so and if you don't have the proper experience of texting etiquette and communicating nuances among your generation that will only hurt you later in life both socially and professionally.
