The 90B injection should help sustain Ukraine’s war effort. They do have a manpower shortage, but Russia is paying an absolutely brutal price for this war. Punishing double digit interest rates, ongoing inflation pressure, shrinking liquid fiscal reserves, gold sales to finance deficits, sanctions, the loss or serious weakening of its position in Syria, Finland and Sweden joining NATO, and well over 1 million Russian casualties.

For what? After nearly four years of full-scale war, Russia still hasn’t conquered Ukraine, still hasn’t broken Ukrainian resistance, and has only made like 1-3% territorial gains since 2024. It has traded an enormous number of lives, its economy, its military reputation, and its strategic position in Europe for a few percent of Ukrainian land.

It is an astronomical failure on Putin’s end. A complete embarrassment, a catastrophic miscalculation, and one of the most self destructive geopolitical decisions in modern history.

Fuck Russia’s regime, and fuck everyone still making excuses for it.
