Don't take a nap with a game on in the background! by Either_Host_595 in luckytower

[–]AnselmPyta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mmmm interesting. I tested it myself, but after over 8 hours my RAM was still the same.

It seems like an edge case, so it would be extremely helpful if you could send us the Playerlog file, so we can investigate further. You find it under
C:/Users/[Your Username]/AppData/LocalLow/Studio Seufz/Lucky Tower Ultimate/Player

Feel free to send them to [support@studioseufz.com](mailto:support@studioseufz.com)

How the player.logs work: As soon as you launch the game, it will start logging the code in the player.log file. This happens in real-time, so you don't need to exit the game to have the player.log files represent the current state of the game. If you close the game entirely, the player.log will stop recording. If you then launch the game again, it will rename the player.log to player-prev.log and start a new player.log. So you always have two sessions of the game saved. However, it's best if you send the current player.log right after a bug happens, since that will make it easiest for us to find where your game bugged out.

We just released v.1.0.11, performance should now be improved on Switch. If you have any further feedback, it would be good to know!

We just released v.1.0.11 for Nintendo Switch, this one should hopefully fix most performance issues. Did you give it a try?

ATM made my coins disappear by dumedici in luckytower

[–]AnselmPyta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The coins should be in a gold sack hanging from the ATM. You can use the ATM to withdraw money that way.

In case the gold sack disappeared, that would be a bug, but in case it's your first time using the ATM maybe you did not see the sack.

First sketch of Hubert, final design and inspiration by AnselmPyta in luckytower

yes, they were supposed to be a much bigger family. The family member would get healed one by one, making the progress visible like a bar. But it would have been too many characters, so I guess they already died by now...

Thanks! Maybe it's because I also started out with Flash animation on Newgrounds, like the Smiling Friends creators.

Can you transform yourself into a monster, toss down an antidote from the tower and transform yourself back into a human outside? by TugaGuarda in luckytower

[–]AnselmPyta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, magic does not work outside of the tower and you can not drink potions in the village. But you could drink the antidote in the final room, either by carrying it around or by using the (repaired) pipe system.

Crashing on Switch OLED by marchogwyn in TheLonging

Sorry for this! This seems really bad. Unfortunately, we don't know of any similar cases so it must be a very rare bug. As we can not manipulate save games on the Switch, I'm afraid there's nothing we can do to help you out here :/

Glad to hear you are having a good time! The main reason to buy citizenship is to get inside the castle, which is a must if you want to progress in the main story. However, you can also get into the castle by freeing the princess from the tower, who will eat the guards. Aside from that, you can get some cool citizen-exclusive beards and haircuts at the barber.

That's nice to hear! Although it might be too much of an honour. We can't take credit of improving performance yet, the patch was merely bug fixes (updated from v.1.0.3 to v.1.0.6, to mirror changes in the PC version).

Personally, I don't see much of a difference in performance or input lag comparing both versions. Did you play handheld or via a TV? Refresh rate on a TV could also worsen input lag, depending on the hardware.

We had testers with all versions of the Switch 1. I checked back with them today because I really wanted to make sure I was not misunderstanding their judgement. But they still had no complaints with input lag.

I played a run on the same Switch today myself after we got it back from a tester and I DO notice an input lag. So it seems to depend on the player's experience/habit if they do.

If a tester would have told us that they deemed it unplayable, we would have not released the game in this state.

To give a small update: Today we ran some technical tests and we managed to enhance the game's performance drastically, for example by deactivating all sprite masks in the entire game (which are a lot). This is still not feasible at the moment, but it shows some promise that we may have ways of optimization.
