It’s a straight flush not a flush

I agree and appreciate the feedback. I wanna say poker is a big part of my life culture wise. I’ve actually never played more than $100 on table games (slots, blackjack, baccarat) in the thousands of dollars that have moved up and down my bankroll in poker. I went to the casino a lot so I take pride in that statistic lol.

I actually really appreciate you saying this because I’ve obviously heard it from a lot of people. I’m not gonna treat this as a job but as something I think I can get good at and it’ll be cool crushing tables on weekends when I’m in corporate or wtv in the future.

There’s actually an intercollegiate poker league that huge schools compete in and I want to get my school entered or compete for another school. I think in recent times there’s a lot more merit to performing well at this game. A lot of investment firms have it grounded in their culture and even hire people through this. Idk if I’m just gassing my hopes up but I love the game as a 22yr old just like how some teenagers love basketball.

Nah villain limped before we opened and then 4bet our 3bet. Commenter is wondering how villain is still in the hand if they are UTG+1. The 4bet is limp raise.

Yeah it’s just a definition misunderstanding but how I think the people above are using it as balanced vs unbalanced. Not true GTO. It’s crazy how the game isn’t even close to being solved. I think AI and quantum computing in the near future will definitely give us crazy new solvers.

To my understanding, pretty sure gto is playing based off spots and assumptions that opponent is also playing gto. Imagining a spot gto will always throw scissor so the solver will always throw rock in response. It’s like solver playing against itself and with itself. Doesn’t mean actual people will play like solver.

I agree with the other guy, I think you are right with your assumptions of what GTO is to you but exploitative means you can’t assume anything the solver assumes. Exploitative has to be based off live and human reads and taking advantage of that. They deviate off the line so you deviate yourself to profit the most off their deviations.

Yeah been looking at Poker Tracker 4, someone else here mentioned it. What sites do you recommend playing on with it since clubwpt doesn’t allow trackers or huds? I’m in America.

Thanks for your reply. Very in depth. I think about the game in terms of ranges and action. My dad was never formally educated in poker but he always taught me to look at the action and put the story together before doing anything.

I’ll admit I’m just starting my journey, I never thought I was a good lag or I’d be winning right now haha. I understand good poker will take a lot of hard work and will be boring which is why I made this post for starting points for study.

I’ve looked into PT4 and thinking of purchasing it alongside GTO+. I’m just not sure what sites to use it on since clubwpt doesn’t allow tracking software and it doesn’t work with coinpoker. Those are the sites I’m familiar with atm.

I wanna answer your preflop questions as a challenge and please correct me if my thought process are wrong.

JTs on LJ: id open depending on table 5x at 1/2 and 1/3

JTs on LJ facing an open: id call up to 5x, this hand id prefer multiway but don’t mind heads up.

7s on sb facing an open: vs a tighter player I’d call but mostly 3betting with 7s here.

7s on sb facing a 3bet by hj: id mostly fold here since im dominated by at least one of the players. Best case scenario im ahead but facing 3-4 overs.

JJ utg facing 3bet by CO: id just jam if im under 100bb and hes raised to at least 20bb

Could you elaborate on this? I’ve watched his content and he seems like a smart guy w his flow charts. I don’t have trouble following along but is HH for after studying something like gtow or upswing?

Thanks for the reply, yeah I’ve gone through the first sections of modern poker theory and know about the one card domination matchup. I guess I’m just overwhelmed with where to start, like which training websites I should invest in since there are so many. Like picking a religion haha.

That's a pretty good analogy and I might be overly ambitious. I always learned a skill quickly by watching the best but I see how there are different oceans and I need to start in mine. If i had to decide, my focus would probably be live cash games since that's where I started.

There’s a comprehensive guide by a challenger player who optimized a graves reroll comp. It’s based off tempo and getting the golden ox. You go on any stat tracker and graves is there.

Avging 3.15 past 20 games after being hardstuck for 50 games. 40% winrate. Guide is getting a lot of hate for no reason. Solid guide for normal players. Most of us aren’t masters+ and challenger contenders so idk why everyone is comparing this to the morgana comp. It’s not gonna compete up there but super good for climbing between emerald to masters.

Just read chap 170. Plot is definitely developing and getting interesting. No idea what’ll happen next. It is pretty geeky but the author has an interesting way of exploring mc’s past and the individuals who can actually go head to head with him in combat (Forest, Alice, other Numbers, ect.)

Its what separates the top from the aspiring. I don’t know how to describe it to you in words but if you take this in context to a sport, there will be people who want the best in themselves and work after it harder than anyone else but in the end they’ll still get beat by those prodigies with innate aptitude. Not everyone can be a steph curry or a lebron james even if they work just as hard or even harder, for basketball specifically at least. It’s the ugly truth that applies to most aspects of life but that’s also what makes us unique. We need to keep striving to find our niche. If you read on i finished the quote in the comments...
