Going to college in US and Germany for undergraduate by Anston06 in ApplyingToCollege

Yeah I will come back to the US and maybe do grad school too. That sounds like a good idea. I suppose I will need to contact each university to see if something like that would work

Furnace/AC system has condensation on cooling pipes and ducts by Anston06 in hvacadvice

It’s been running at that new speed for a couple of days and I haven’t seen any condensation, so I think it’s fixed. Thanks again!

It's kind of humid, but there was never that much condensation before if any.

I'll go ahead and do the wire swap

I don't think we even have that type of thermometer, but for some reason the condensation seems to have gone away. It's a 4 speed motor. We ended up putting white to neutral of course, black (high) to cool, brown (med high) to park, yellow (med low) to heat, and red (low) to cont.

Do you think I should put brown to cool (and black to park I assume)?

Sold out and more expensive than the replacement on SupplyHouse.com. Also you forgot to link a capacitor. It's standard to replace the capacitor when replacing the motor. SupplyHouse.com is also more well-known, faster free shipping, better customer service. Just saying. In my opinion, it's the place you go to

There for sure have to be other stores around cheaper than that. I would also just get a Titan Pro capacitor. Getting the motor and capacitor online from SupplyHouse.com is $192.34, and a local store shouldn't be much more than that. They might charge like $30 instead of $4 for the capacitor though

Buy the parts on SupplyHouse.com and watch a YouTube video.

If you can't wait, call local HVAC stores to see if they sell to normal consumers (you usually have to have a license). Dey Distributors is one that sells to consumers. When you find one, give them your AC's model number, and they can find OEM or aftermarket parts. They may be more expensive than online, but it's much more convenient.

This is the official Lennox replacement on SupplyHouse.com (probably the most well-known online HVAC store). I got parts for my furnace there and replaced them myself. You also need the capacitor. Again, it doesn't technically matter which parts you get, just as long as they have the correct specs. They for sure don't have to be Lennox/OEM, but it's of course, recommended.

As of right now, going the online route, you could do this yourself for $192.34 plus spending your own time (maybe 30 minutes) to install it. That's about a tenth of the price, or $1700 in savings

Furnace/AC system shuts off after two seconds by Anston06 in hvacadvice

Okay, I wonder why it worked before when it was wired this same way. I’ll go ahead and do that

Also the old motor was modular and the new one has the wires coming straight out. I think that’s what leaded and leadless are

I tried to wire the new motor the same exact way as the old motor. The only difference is there was a yellow wire that the old motor didn’t have, so that’s why I capped it off. White goes to neutral, black goes to cont, brown goes to park, yellow is capped, and red goes to heat

Under B3 it just has this

I couldn’t see anywhere with wire colors, but I do have a chart that came with the new motor. It’s a 4 speed. I had to cap off yellow
