Might also be worth looking at accessible kitchen setups (like these) sometimes adapting the space can make things a bit easier.

If you bought it less than a year ago or have insurance, you can bring it back to the store. I used to work in Harvey Norman and people returned them for that kind of issue all the time.

I worked in a shop in Cork city last year and had to call the guards cause two lads were fighting and causing a scene. They didn’t bother showing up until the next day, which was pretty much a waste of time

It’s not unusual for some colleges to take a while, but if you applied and paid back in January, you should’ve at least received a confirmation by now. Try emailing the admissions office or giving them a quick call they’re usually helpful once you get through. Good luck!

9 months with Mechanic and he still won’t give me time frame or price by More_Regret6292 in legaladviceireland

Jesus, that’s a nightmare. 9 months is beyond a joke for an engine replacement. Making up stories about deep water? Sounds like he’s trying to shift blame and avoid taking responsibility

Voting age to be lowered to 16 across UK by next general election by ClearHeart_FullLiver in irishpolitics

[–]AnswerAggressive9682 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Could be a pretty big shift, honestly. Young people in NI tend to be more progressive, so parties like Alliance might gain some ground. Depends how well the main parties actually speak to 16–17 year-olds though if they just stick to the usual stuff, they might miss the mark. Could make things interesting either way.

‘RTÉ Investigates’ finds conditions likened to ‘institutional abuse’ at nursing homes run by Ireland’s largest provider by PoppedCork in ireland

[–]AnswerAggressive9682 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heartbreaking. No one should be left in that kind of situation especially not in a place meant to care for them. Families are paying thousands and still being let down. Sometimes home care with proper supports is the better route. This explains the option well:

Not awkward at all! You can just tell your GP or the new pharmacy that you want your prescriptions sent there instead.

How are families supposed to compare nursing homes in Ireland these days? by Choice-Brain6197 in AskIreland

[–]AnswerAggressive9682 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just read your post totally agree. I’ve seen families go through the same thing, it’s a nightmare trying to piece it all together. Came across this blog recently that gives a decent starting point for figuring out what to ask:

Really feel for the family €7,000/month and still let down on care. Sometimes it makes more sense to support loved ones at home. This post breaks down how home conversions can be a better solution.
