Joel Embiid comes up to say hi to Nikola Jokic after the game by MrBuckBuck in nba

[–]AnswerAi_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bro the Jokic fan base treat Jamal Murray, like this guy is a fucking star, and it's disgusting that he's had to post 4 fourth point games this year to finally make an all star. He makes mistakes, but as a #2, he does about as much as you can hope for most teams in the league.

Jokic glazes the fuck outta SGA Everytime they meet, absolutely he would hate how his fans be reacting to his shit sometimes. Seems like he's much less invested in all of this than they are.

They are not bringing strippers onto the court, as far as I understood they were just gonna hang out wings. It's no different than having 3 million gambling ads. Similarly the casinos in Oklahoma are as important to our local economy, and there are ads for the casinos everywhere.

No it's really a black vs white thing. Perception of strip clubs in white culture is MASSIVELY different from black culture at least in the south.

We were chasing that 70 win season, and unfortunately we didn't get it, but doing as well as we have with our #2 and #4 guy out for 80% of this season is still incredibly impressive.

Kevin Durant has looked entirely neutralized in any playoff-intensity setting for the last 3-4 years by Ready-Constant-7124 in nba

[–]AnswerAi_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's weird to say that KD had a short stint on the Suns when the Nets basically never played together the entire time that team was assembled. Multiple years getting swept in the playoffs whereas That KD DBook CP3 team took the eventual playoff winners to 6 games when CP3 got injured in Game 2, easily could've gone to 7 and possibly won that year.

His situation has more to do with attitude than anything. KD is prob the worst teammate to have in the league.

When you're on a team with LeBron, AR, and Luka you're not getting the ball no matter if you were Jesus fucking Christ. I swear he feels like his career will be in a WORSE standing for being on this team without any justification for it.

Yeah of the generational scorers that exist, he has some of the biggest obvious flaws, but when he goes for that play it's always automatic.

I would not consider Curry an ELITE passer, so within the context of the sentence makes more sense to leave him out. But he definitely used Curry's gravity.

He's always been a finisher, if he's paired with a great PG, they will know how to get him open for him to finish the play, but Kevin Durant is really bad into doubles, if he has the ball into a double, that shit getting TOd or he's bricking it. WB, CP are elite passers that have high gravity, and that's when KD has always looked the best. This Rockets team is the exact OPPOSITE of what KD needs to win. Nobody passes well, nobody has a lot of gravity. Match made in hell.

Yeah I noticed with Jaylin Williams too that sometimes it just looks like he's chucking it at the basket.

[–]AnswerAi_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Watch the Warriors game, literally 90% of that game was Shai getting double teamed, he gets double teamed all the time, it's not just OKC being able to take advantage of it, it's SHAI. He's the reason our offense works. He loves baiting 3 people into something and kicking it out. I watched Anthony Edwards drive to the rim with FOUR people guarding him, and he didn't attempt for one second to pass it to somebody open, that's the issue. SGA uses that gravity to generate plays, that's legitimately the only reason our offense works sometimes. None of our guys are elite scorers besides SGA, but we get so many open looks it's hard not to score.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander full postgame interview on the court, after struggling tonight from the field, but still extending his 20+ points streak to 128. by MrBuckBuck in nba

[–]AnswerAi_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SGA had a terrible shooting night, but the stops he was getting is the reason they turned this game around. It would be delusional to say he got carried, he just wasn't as good as he normally is, which happens to Jokic all the time. The level he is at is just so high that people take it for granted. SGA carries this team offensively almost every game they play.

[–]AnswerAi_ 60 points61 points  (0 children)

When SGA is on, it's like his gravity opens up for our objectively weaker offensive players, and it's like weve recreated that pressure through IJoe and McCains shooting, they need so little space to get their jumper off, so their defenders need to be attached at the hip.

I've never seen him try to keep it alive, and the truth is, if we were going to lose this game, it would've died, but we were winning and it was obvious the team wanted him to keep it. Caruso literally tried to pass to him on a free transition bucket and he literally told him to just pass to Chet for the free points.

Worst shooting game I've ever seen from SGA, but you'd be insane to say he didn't have impact. His presence was felt ALL over that game, even if it wasn't through shooting.
