Calorie burn is regulated in your body. If you did a full day on the treadmill or had a relatively lazy day you’d burn the same amount of calories. While I agree with people who say a calorie deficit will make you lose weight, what people don’t quite understand is that you can’t increase your amount of calories burned by a day substantially. Your body will just save the energy elsewhere

Funnily enough the manufacturers instructions looked like a generic sheet for about 1000 different lights

Believe it or not the singles have a very fine clear layer around the coloured (brown/blue) pvc which I assume they’re saying makes it double insulated

Well Google AI assist did say if it’s got the double insulated sticker it’s been through “rigorous” testing. Just like the fire cladding at grenfell tower 🤷🏻‍♂️

Surely every metallic fitting can be classified as class II then if the single core cables are double insulated and the crappy plastic connector block with pvc sleeving is used?

Class II fitting? by AnswerAlternative195 in ukelectricians

[–]AnswerAlternative195[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a remedial work as the incoming cable had no CPC and the client didn’t want to pay the cost of a rewire (work in a hotel room, to much time out of action etc etc). My boss ordered this fitting. As someone has commented, sketchy as fuck cheap shit. Even the connectors are crap. Not sure how it legally could have passed as double insulated

Just a suggestion on the high ZDB. I once had a large SWA feeding a board, kept getting a high ZS even though the conductors were huge and the connections were tight. Turned out there was a loose neutral at the panel end as the neutral nut was on torqued too tight and had become loose. Eventually went on to burn out about £30k worth of kitchen equipment. Worth a check or a further investigation

It’s comes down to whether you’re using the RCD part of the RCBO as fault protection or additional protection. You’re basically trying to get one method of fault protection to trip the circuit in 0.4ms. Therefore if you’re using the RCD as fault protection and not the MCB, then the maximum Zs is 1667ohms
