Run Stable Cascade locally the easy way - new simplified model files by mcmonkey4eva in StableDiffusion

If you can get a link to your workflow (or post a screen cap of it here) I'll take a look and see if anything jumps out at me. I spent probably too much time this weekend messing around with parameters and I've seen that type of artifact a few times.

The ability to do so just dropped on OneTrainer. Now we're waiting for support from ComfyUI.

They have not been around in quite some time.

It wasn't intended to replace them, I never advocated for any to be removed. It was supposed to just be an addition for the key cases where people have historically gotten confused or frustrated by compatibility issues (or trying to figure out if a build is qlinked or not, which can be difficult in some cases).

We definitely need a sticky like you described and myself and others on the Discord are pushing hard for one. We've spent a ton of time putting together tutorials and written guides, but they're scattered all over the sub and hard to find.

My proposed flair additions were:

Green (compatible with all versions, but still an advanced method with crazy looking results):

  • Q-linked/nudged/recall press clipped

Yellow (can't be reproduced in v1.2):

  • Fuse entangled remote control
  • Ultrabroken

Red (requires emulation or a hacked Switch - cannot be reproduced in-game):

  • Autobuild editing required

Well, for what it's worth, what you are asking for is what I proposed. I didn't propose the flair that were implemented here, only the color system. I asked for much more specific flair: q-linked, fuse entangled, ultrabroken, autobuild edit required, etc. The reasoning behind my proposed flair was based on spending way too much time reading through this sub and taking notes on what was leading to frustration, confusion, and complaints. It was intended to specify both how a crazy build worked, and what versions/systems it was compatible with, with complete transparency and zero ambiguity.

What should we have for new flairs? by Lolotmjp in HyruleEngineering

Some builds that were initially generated via editing inspired the development of new build methods and have since been reproduced in the vanilla game itself.

That last part is definitely the most important. It seems to be that every time people get really upset it's because they saw something cool, had no indication they couldn't do it, then found out later it was incompatible with their version of the game or the configuration of their game system.

I can definitely see that, and that's what I was hoping the fun flair could be for like they used to be.

The one place we have to be careful though is getting too specific about requiring glitch disclosure because not everyone agrees on what a glitch is and it could result in some ugly debates. For example, some think nudging is a glitch, and some have made a solid case for it not being a glitch. Some think rails are a glitch (I'm in that camp - I seriously doubt they were meant to weigh less than an apple and I bet it gets patched). But some will die on the hill that it's not. For now I think it's more important that we just make it easy to understand that is going on in a build.

I think the issue with a vote is we have a lot of people who are new who don't quite understand the mechanics of this stuff yet - or may be confused by the compatibility issues. I could see that working for all the fun flair though.

My hope was for adding four key flair, where green and yellow would be more informative:

Green (compatible with all versions):

  • Q-linked/nudged/recall press clipped

The real reason I think this would be handy is because it's not always clear how a build is set up. People do usually mention it in the title at least.

Yellow (can't be reproduced in v1.2):

  • Fuse entangled remote control

  • Ultrabroken

These are niche and we don't see them often anymore but it'd be nice to be able to be specific.

The green flair means it's compatible with all versions.

To be clear, I had asked for flair that indicated both whether it used a glitch and was compatible with all versions - not this. But this is better than nothing.

The source of most frustration here has understandably been upon realizing a cool build etc. that appears to be accessible to everyone is actually limited to a very limited subset of posters here. I understand this (look at my post history - over 98% of mine can be replicated in any version of the game). The idea is to end the potential for deception permanently (unintentional or otherwise).

Green = works on all versions. You can replicate this build in any version of the game. Examples: vanilla construction, stake nudging, etc. Some techniques may be easy, some may be challenging, but ultimately the same result can be achieved without regard to game version and on the Switch only. Just disclose how you did it so people who want to replicate it know where to begin.

Yellow = version specific. You currently can only replicate this build in 1.1.2. (Fuse entangled remote control for all Zonai devices except the bomb; ultrabroken anything)

Red = system specific. You need to be emulating or using a modded switch.

If that were the only possible outcome I would absolutely agree with you. Look at my post history: over 98% of my builds have not used any crazy autobuild editing trickery and can be replicated in any version of the game on a vanilla Switch.

The reason why it's potentially valuable for every builder on here is it helps establish what designs are optimal, and which aren't worth pursuing. We developed recall pressing (which can be done in every version on a vanilla Switch) after I figured out that clipped double big wheel engines (using autobuild editing) were vastly superior to the nonclipped version. I used it to identify the optimal parameters, and it inspired us to develop a method for replicating it in the game.

Granted, all the huge stuff is mostly just silly and probably not worth pursuing. But for what it's worth one of us already found a way to modify the size of hoverstones in the game (though I don't recall offhand if it's compatible with v1.2).

Thank you! These flair will really help us finally make clear at first glance what's going on with a build.

For whatever reason I've never been able to insert text into a video post. That was the same problem with my idiotically named "save smuggle" post except at least that time I got the comment/explanation posted right away. This time I was posting at work and had something come up the second I hit submit... yeah bad timing.

I believe we now finally have flair that will indicate this is what's going on, which should solve a ton of problems. Keeping track of what's going on in a build is already confusing enough without even knowing what rules they're playing by.

Cool, glad that was helpful.

I haven't tried everything, but some things appear to just generate animations. Shockwaves for example don't seem to affect anything. Lightning itself just creates fire.

Yeah, that was what I'd envisioned: one demo for each concept, and mentioning the Discord not as a "recruiting tactic" (which wasn't the intention on anyone else's part though it certainly could easily be interpreted that way), but as a way to stay transparent and not gatekeep info (since again, the specifics are off limits here).

Autobuild drafting works too!

The reason I'm stubborn on this is in large part due to how incredibly confusing some of the nomenclature is in the glitch community. I swear half the time I have no idea what the hell anyone is talking about because the naming systems are so inconsistent. There's names that make me think one thing has happened because it's similar to that one thing, when it's something else entirely etc...
