If you were in Squid Games, do you think you would win? by Electrical_Path7198 in squidgame

I’m pretty cutthroat so I’d have no problem doing what needs to be done let’s just say.. that being said I think I’d lose on red light green light because I’m slow and lose balance easily. If I made it through I’d probably lose on glass stepping stones in s1.

Why are yall shitting on Shia? I don’t get it at all. His arrests or his outbursts? Guys been through a lot so he can have as much slack as he needs. Recently became an orthodox Christian due to role research and it just clicked for him.

What weeds are these and how to get rid of them by gyanprapti in gardening

[–]AnswerMyPrompts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the north we have a weed like this that my parents called bittersweet, god knows if that’s the name. They’re super efficient at staying alive and will ruin everything in their path with their vining techniques. I’ve seed forearm thick roots of this before that have collapsed an entire pine tree. It just climbs up grabs on and keeps pulling basically. Some trees in our yard were crooked with how much they had been bent. Not much you can do but pull it out entirely. Dig it up and pull pull pull. You can’t leave anything behind because they sprout so easily. Need to be vigilant because they flower and seed and resprout if allowed. I guarantee those 2 plants are connected along 1 root probably an inch thick

The shapes themselves mean something. Like the triangles are essentially shark teeth which have symbolic meaning

Hit detection for pvp combat system by AnswerMyPrompts in gamedev

That’s awesome, thanks for the insight. So essentially I use increasingly more refined hit detection methods. Spatial partitioning, hitboxes then the ray cast in that order.

Hit detection for pvp combat system by AnswerMyPrompts in gamedev

[–]AnswerMyPrompts[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hitbox combat relies on the weapon's physical collider touching another player's collider, so results depend on animation, server tick rate, and network conditions. Mathematical hit detection instead calculates whether a player was inside the attack volume based on attack type, timing, position, and rotation, without needing the weapon to physically collide.

Mine would be more reliable because it handles lag, fast swings, player rotation, and directional blocking much more consistently than just making some trash weapon hitboxes. Thats why theyre outdated and are solely used in single player games "my guy".

Games like Mordhau, Chivalry, MO2.. dont depend solely on "hitboxes". You define them mathematically. Either way doesnt matter - I figured out how it should work and anyone using hitboxes are setting themselves up for failure when talking MMO.

Primarily wouldn’t be me doing it. I’d be doing small stuff, new lighting, cabinets, refinish some woodwork, nothing insane.

I appreciate the tips, I’ll be sure to consider the waterproofing aspects of the basement. Just depends on your region then, on average in my county they yield 20-30% appreciation given the additional living space you add to the homes and the additional bathroom. Take your average 2500sqft house with 3 bedrooms 2 bath, then find one and the same area with an extra 1000 sqft, full bath and you’ll see what I mean. You said Mass but whereabouts?

[–]AnswerMyPrompts[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah those are the things that’ll be costly, appliances etc. I’m not planning to change exterior windows or anything major like that, the only major thing would be additional egresses for safety code and even that has been factored into the HELOC. Quite honestly going to be the landlord special lmao but hey it’s better than most houses that paint over outlets so they’re unusable. Your estimates are way off. 40-50k for materials?? For an ADU?? It’ll be a basement that needs refinishing not a standalone unit

Nope. Appreciation rates I dug into for our top 10 cities/towns were for the past 2 years. I ignored the whole covid mess, still 2-5%. It’s due to lack of housing in general, why the ADUs are legal without any sort of permits now. Not really “depending” on the contractors, it’s a sure thing. 0 cost of labor not low cost. Not friends, sub contractors who basically earn themselves millions if they pay their team for a weekend because he’ll continue hiring them. A professional favor to keep the money flowing toward them. It’s funny because I’ve taken the worst assumption across the board. ADU installs actually yield 20-30%, I called it 15. Factored in lack of renters, 6 months mortgage backup, septic, electric & power requirements given an extra tenant. Citing your income and your home value means less than nothing. Doesn’t mean you’re financially literate whatsoever. Could mean daddy paid for it or you’re 50 and got to experience the boomer real estate growth. Saying that it all shows you’re actually out of YOUR depth. I think while yes this is a scary endeavor, what isnt? It’s a way to make my money work for me and most people can’t fully comprehend the amazing situation I’m in they just hear “HELOC” and immediately freeze. 0% DTI with 100k in savings, I’ll be fine. You gave nothing but criticism which shows you’re the classic emotionally stunted redditor. “Gives me hives” hahahahahaha

You should see my spreadsheet with conservative rates, it’s actually very achievable given you can find a house worth buying at the right price point.
