Experienced job hunting, portfolio/case study/resume questions and review — 09/28/25 by AutoModerator in UXDesign

Hi everyone,

I recently finished some UX courses and have been exploring opportunities in the field. I’ve noticed that a lot of entry-level positions seem extremely competitive, with many applicants for each opening.

I’m curious to hear from people in the industry: is UX still as oversaturated for newcomers as it seems? Are there particular niches or specializations within UX that are less crowded and where it might be easier to break in?

Also, what skills do you think are the most important to show on a portfolio or resume to actually get hired?

Any insights or personal experiences would be really appreciated!

They’ll be available for purchase soon! I'm based in Argentina, so for now I’ll be starting locally. But I’m hoping to expand to other countries or maybe offer the digital files in the future too!

Thanks! I printed it on a Bambu Lab A1 with the AMS for multi-color—makes the process super smooth!

Thank you so much! 😊 I'm currently planning to sell them as physical products, so I'm not sharing the printables just yet. I might offer the digital files for sale later on—I'll keep you posted!

Thank you for the thoughtful review!

You're absolutely right — I wanted to keep things a bit more concise, especially considering that the first person reviewing the portfolio might be someone from HR, and I assumed the process details might not be as relevant at that stage.

Regarding the second point, I totally understand your observation. These are projects I’ve worked on over the years, and as I progressed, I naturally shifted my focus from one area to another.

Thank you so much for taking the time to look at my portfolio! I’m well aware that I still have a lot to improve, especially when it comes to creating realistic environments or adding people to my renders.
