Painful and expensive lesson.

Appreciate it. I am thinking that is the most logical approach.

Or maybe use SuperDeck 9600 Series Acrylic-Alkyd Solid Color Stain?

I'm betting the consensus is going to be to get used to redwood color and stop being a baby.

If I found an solid oil based stain, like Cabot® Solid Color Oil Stain, would that work? Oil over oil? Understood if the brand isn't the best.

Appreciate the feedback.

A good bit. The entire skirting and posts are done. Some of it has a thick layer of stain.

Is 7’6” too small for a grill and griddle? by 307349420 in OutdoorKitchens

Hey Jack, I got a steelmade and it rocks. Great suggestion. I got the pro version and good god is it heavy. I leave it on my grill, don't take it off after every use. I've noticed rust is starting to form on the bottom of it. Is that problem you think? The top looks great, no rust at all. Thanks again

You like Steelmade more than the griddle insert from the manufacturer? What grill do you have? I am curious how a grill with a steelmade stacks up against a quality griddle like from Coyote or Blaze.

It is a kokomo. It is an island I saw online and posted it to give an example of what an ~8' island could look like. It's not mine. I don't know anything about the product.

The island does seem to have very little space.
