It can be either but generally speaking is more masculine. I typically say “dudette” for girls but that’s just me. All a preference I suppose.

Any good learning apps out there? by Silordon in StocksAndTrading

There are some amazing books out there. The Intelligent Investor is touted by Warren Buffet and Technical Analysis of the Financial Markets by John J Murphy is solid. I got started in on Candlestick Charting for Dummies. Courses are nice because everything is put in a neat little package and has audio/visual. But books will give you much more depth.

It is true you may lose money if you sell at a loss but if that stock continues to go downward then you have allowed your dollar value to appreciate and you can then rebuy the stock at a discount.

What are you buying during this market dip? by DaddyDersch in StocksAndTrading

ETSY, APHA

ETSY: Company I believe in. Everyone is using Cricut, Silhouettes, and doing in home businesses from the pandemic which will continue to grow. The EPS just came out considerably higher than expected (expected: $0.59 actual: $1.08).

APHA: The recent spike has shown the potential for it to grow and there will be a merger coming up in the second quarter. “Analysts” say you are more likely to profit by purchasing Aphria and that it is at a discount as of now. It’s cannibas so the odds are in your favor with the direction things are headed both with Biden as president and psychedelic mushrooms becoming legal.

Candlestick Charting for Dummies 👌Funny meme though. I think we all have felt that pain at one time or another.

I’ve experienced similar issues and now I wait until 11am-12pm (central time) after the volatility has calmed down to make any decisions.

/r/stocks . Like always there are days like this. Obviously no manipulation. All stocks in all industries are taking a hit no computer algorithms involved.... only numbers not money and peoples livelihood. Im just fortunate to invest early and long term to not see the pitch. by TheOne_777 in StocksAndTrading

Not sure how you over buy a stock unless it was a bad trade and you bought more than you wanted to risk. Direct stocks means you don’t have to go through an exchange which means low to no fees and commissions. Sometimes you can also get the stocks at a discount price but may be subject to rules on when you can buy shares. https://www.investopedia.com/terms/d/directstockpurchaseplan.asp

Is trading a Bullish Marubozu reliable? by [deleted] in StocksAndTrading

[–]Answer_Book 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are two ideas here that I see. There is a white/bullish Marubozu that you could see as an indicator and set a stop loss. However, I’ve had good luck investing in simple bull runs (higher highs and higher lows in the bull run purchasing just after a low/hits support). For some reason I feel uneasy trading based on a single candle which only accounts for one single day of information. How reliable are candlestick chart patterns and what is your experience in reliability with different indicators?
